I watched Torres-Cotton and thought Eddie Cotton was robbed of the decision as did most of the other people who saw the fight.

Incredible that Basilio was in the fight of the year a full five times subsequently.

I noticed that same thing. I also didn't realize that Ali, a fighter we don't often equate with the most exciting style amongst heavyweights, has been in more fights of the year than any other fighter. I think I read that right.

Ali vs Leon Spinks as the fight of the year? Horrible call.

You can add Ali-Liston 2 to that as well. Signifigant and controversial but entertaining and to say there was no fight better that year. No. Ali-Foreman/Frazier were good calls but a couple of the other Ali fights not so.

    BOGART,

ALi vs Liston 2 did not make the cut! The #2 next to Ali just means he was in his 2nd ring magaizne fight of the year.
