Would the Walcott who beat Louis be able to "Walcott waltz" and counter punch his way to victory or would Bowe stop him? How long would this fight last? Walcott 6'1 194 pounds vs Bowe 6'5 235 lbs
Walcott has Bowe struggling for a while , crafty Joe using his skills against the bigger man. Behind on point s going into the ninth ,Big daddy catches Joe with a banging uppercut .Walcott attempt s to rise but his legs fail him .
I love watching Walcott, his little moves and crafty ,out of the blue power shots. But Bowe was not only bigger ,he had the skills to go with it .I'd love to say Joe wins ,but in this situation I just can't.
Yeah, I think his movement and counter left hooks would throw Bowe off for a minute, but then Bowe finds him and that's all.
My money is on bowe by knock out, bowe is a huge, skilled, surpringly agile boxer/puncher, but what I think this really comes down to is Walcott was a master boxer, but had a bad chin, big boy bowes able to tank Walcott shots all night but Walcott is only a 3 punch combination away from kissing the canvas. Walcott would need to pull a Gollata and destroy riddicks ballsack to win this.
Bowe did mention that he felt Walcott would be a tough fight for him and Walcott really wouldn't be much smaller than Holyfield was in Bowe 1. If Walcott could avoid Bowe's big shots, he could edge out a decision here.
