Two shop-worn and proven Champs, with power.. Who do YOU have?

    Chin nearly equal

    Power-- slight edge to Hags

Heart/stamina/ gotta give it to Jake

    Good matchup IMO

At this point in Hagler's career,he was vulnerable to speedy boxer types a la Leonard. He still has enough left to beat a come forward brand of fighter like Jake who ship lots of punishment

    Hagler on points.

I would pick Hagler on points just because he has more options available to him. I think this is a good matchup, in either the shopworn state for this stage of their careers, or if we picked their primes. It would always be a good one.

Let's not forget that Lamotta still had at least one great fight left in him in 1950. He may have been stopped in the Robinson fight but he put up a hell of a fight and in my opinion won a good part of that fight. Maybe even the majority until the stoppage. Not to mention that was against SUGAR RAY ROBINSON. By 1987 Hagler had been in a lot of wars and imo wasn't the fighter he was even a year or two prior. Hagler could win if Lamotta has trouble making the weight like he did against Robinson on St Val. Day.

I pick Lamotta by UD in an outright war.
