Here we go again...You despise Dempsey so damn much that your post doesn't deserve an answer, but a burial...I'm tired of this BS, and if you love to degrade Dempsey, I will go along with THOUSANDS of boxing people who saw Jack at his best, and raved about him, including by the way a certain fighter named Sam Langford, who picked Dempsey to KO Harry Wills if they met, and called Dempsey "the greatest heavyweight I have ever seen"...But of course S, you are either a troll or have a clinical hatred of a decent man you have never met...To be a "contrarian" is fun for awhile but like flat beer, is best left alone....:hi:

I dont know how a shot one armed Joe Louis would have fared against Willard but Im sure that if Dempsey from 1919 had faced the same Joe Louis that Rocky Marciano did he would have blasted him out in 3 rounds or less everytime. They couldve fought 100 times and Louis wouldve never seen the 4th round.

Thats how far gone Joe was that night. Prime for Prime different story.

you mean "would have fared against the 37 year old, 3 years inactive, overweight Willard"

Who knows. Dempsey never fought a 200lb + fighter who could jab like Joe Louis.
