The way I see it, Ingo only has a puncher's chance but not like the normal puncher's chance.

He has a chance of landing his best punch, the Bingo, the right hand, The Hammer of Thor, Toonder and Lightning on Foreman's chin.

However, if and when he lands that punch, it's not putting Foreman down and certainly not anywhere near out. At best, it might shake George a bit, maybe make him even more angry, but he'll take it and then proceed (or continue) to beat Ingo down in quick time.

Being of loyal, Swedish heritage (we are indeed, beautiful people), it pains me to come to the above conclusion. The least I can do is to abstain from voting - though I must say, the poll is a bit closer than I expected.

 

Ingo wears him down and knocks him out. Young Foreman was too one dimensional. If you didn't stay directly in front of him and stayed near his weak side Foreman could be worn down. He was also a complete sucker for a good right hand. Ingo's mobility, hand speed, and excellent right hand are all wrong for Foreman. Ali and Young had mobility and excellent right hands and both were able to wear Foreman out and drop him.

He said the other day Foreman was tailor made for Corbett so he'd have no chance against the might of Ingo obviously. He solidly favored Quarry. Dempsey was a very bad style matchup for Foreman. Foreman, being the older era fighter was however a bad style matchup for Vitali. Galento was even money vs Foreman. Qawi seemed to have a decent chance vs Wilder. Braddock would decision prime Foreman. Tunney is a bad style matchup for Foreman. Marciano stops Foreman. An absolute spud that Foreman dude.

Nope it was a flash kd with George coming in to the punch ,there wasn't even a count whilst Foreman was down!

 

We are talking about George Foreman in his prime 1973 years not the bald headed overweight man who defeated a bunch of overaged stiffs, or the Jolly Green Giant, syringe made giants of the last 10 years, promise we won't forget those giants, fingers crossed. Ingemar Johansson was a very formadle opponent in the late 1950's in Europe, with wins over European competition like Franco Cavicci and Henry Cooper in 1956, Ingo and his Bingo were not treated as serious. But on Sept 14 1958, an import by the name of Eddie Machen came to town in Sweden, Machen then the no.1 contender to champion Floyd Patterson's title was easily dispatched in round 1 by Ingo and his Bingo. George Foreman sent a post FOTC Joe Frazier to the canvas 6 times in 2 rounds on Jan 22 1973, in one of the knockdowns, Frazier resembled a Skier on a downward slope. Ingo did have movement, Foreman was not an ego deflated post Zaire fighter as he was against Ron Lyle in Jan 1976. I see movement by Ingo early against a lumbering Foreman who is looking to decapitate Ingo. Ingo's movement buys him some time as the ring gets smaller and smaller, then George launches a bone shattering right hand that separates Ingo from his senses, then Foreman unleashes a fury of thudding blows that forces Ingo to the canvas as George almost steps on him. Next thing Ingo sees are chirping little George Foreman's floating around his head for the full ten count.

 

Frazier has the obvious style advantage.
