67 Patterson got a draw and lost a controversial split decision during the 2nd match. Would Quarry always be evenly matched with Patterson or would he clearly lose vs a younger Patterson?
It would be a competitive bout. Floyd was a little bit faster in 1960 and had reached the pinnacle of his career while Quarry in '67 was a young stallion who was already approaching his prime. Good fight but Floyd was a shade better and probably had more stamina over 15 rounds.
I’m going with Patterson. Not even sure that Quarry truly beat him in either of those fights from what history has said
1967 Quarry would lose, but 1969 Quarry would beat 1960 Patterson because he was at his best in 1969.
A younger Patterson beats him. Speed and power is too much for Quarry and gets hammered. Patterson wko 8
