theres times when i look at the heavyweight division and think is it really that bad.

then nights like this confirm just how bad it is, valuev would not beat a top 50 heavyweight, and one of the most competitive boxers is confused whether he wants to actually be a boxer or a golf player.

its sad in a time where every other division is retiring champions into ATG status yet no current heavyweight has a hope in hell.

vitali would beat wlad head to head without a doubt, vitali has never been on the canvas and has the highest KO rate of any heavyweight boxer ever.

any fighter these days from light heavy or cruiser who can hit pretty hard and has a good set of whiskers could win the title, can you remember when the division was good when tyson was around and had the division unified spinks a great light heavy steps up and gets completely dominated. if spinks was around today i honestly think he would be heavyweight world champion

You seem to know your ****, the posts I read of yours seem to be spot on, we need more posters like you and less of the Wlad nuthuggers who seem to be all over his dick every chance they get.

Tyson was boxing in the late 80s, it was a good time in Heavyweight boxing. You go to a bar now and ask who the Heavyweight champ is they answer you with "isnt it still Lewis," which really pisses me off. I guess I cant blame them, these belt holders we have now are joke, half of them fight maybe once a year, Maskaev and Chagaev, the other 2 Wlad and Iggy fight nothing but has beens and never was'.

Unify the titles is a dream imo. Seems no one relly wants to unify the titles.

talking about that i was speaking to some guy today who had all of a sudden decided he liked boxing again because of hatton mayweather, and then he moved onto so is lewis still champion that pissed me off for him to have such ignorance on the matter.

( is it just me or is lennox lewis looking very much like stevie wonder these days)

then when i asked if they knew any of todays contenders, i was met with the response umm mike tyson. people are not interested in HWs pure and simply because they are not interesting enough, i know these days i would rather watch a quicker fight with lots of punches. HWs these days are drifting more and more into that butterbeanesque conditioning where they basically just turn up on the night. i dont blame david haye for moving up a division if his chin is steady enough he can do a very good job in this division, at least he will be coming into fights in good condition.

its quite a shame because the HW division has had some of the biggest names in boxing history, and i just dont ee where the talent dried up, it used to be there in abundance.

Ali wins by TKO around round 10. No doubt Wlad has skills and power, but he gets hit regularly, he's been stopped 3 times, 6/0 Sam Peter had him in some trouble, and somone tell me how many world class fighters in their prime has Wlad beat.

    Ali has:
    1) More skill and more speed than Wlad, 67' speed
    2) A greater variety of punches
    3) Deceptive power (mix that with Wlads chin)
    4) Ability to finish (Sam Peter are you listening)
    5) Incredible durability and never KO'd. Doubt Wlad would hit him any more or harder than Foreman (& be real the Ali Holmes fight does not count)
    6) Ability to fight back and score effectively when being hit. Watch against Frazier and Foreman.
    7) Superior adaptibility
    8) World class resume: Liston, Frazier, Foreman, Norton, Jmmy Young.
    9) Psychological warfare advantage. He'd get into Wlads head before the fight.
    10) 30 year direct link to championships. Beat Liston 64, beat the man who beat Michael Moorer for a title in 94' (Foreman).

The talent is there. Its just seems harder for them to fight EACH other. I glad about the up coming fight. For once there is a break. Hope one or the other doesnt get hurt or sick in the weeks before the fight, like last time, and than Holyfiled filled in for a title shot. :patsch

The highest rated decision(Ali by KO) is probably the most ridiculous.

I voted "draw / can't decide "...mainly because of the Henry Cooper dilema...
even though Ali is the goat , there wasn't such a thing as a "wlad klitschko" back in his era...(or a lennox lewis)...different specimens , different size too..

oh yes u must be right because wlad got back up and spanked corrie in the next round like ali did to cooper did he. you honestly think cooper hurt ali that badly when frazier landed an absolutely mostrous left hook flush on alis chin and ali got up at around 4, lets not question alis chin its one of the best heavyweight chins ever

Yeah, were on the same page with this one. I agree with alot of Wlad fans when they say unification will help out the popularity of the struggling divsion, its just too bad the average guy wont be watching when it happens, Im 22 and none of my friends know who Wlad even is or for that matter Iggy, the 20 something and 30 something guys rather watch that UFC **** instead. The only guys that get any attention are Oscar, Hopkins, and Mayweather anymore, thats when the bars packed.
