1rst Henry cooper is a bum...
2nd Henry cooper wouldn't even be concidered a hw by today's standards..
    3rd..Ali was ****ed!....
4rth the only reason why he still won the ****ing fight is ?...

BECAUSE his corner wasted several minutes to change ali's gloves! ...
Boxing history wouldn't be what it is today but thanks to ali's smart corner , there wr no huge mother ****ing upset...

Best chin ever or not...Cooper somehow managed to almost ko his ass.
without ali's corner intervention and him constantly asking to "wait" and to change the ****ing gloves...(what a pathetic excuse but it worked...)...

    Cooper would've made history...
Kinda like Hasim vs Lennox...(then lennox won the rematch)...

YOU KNOW IT !...Ali's corner had a brilliant idea...gave ali the time to recup...and the rest was history...

so when the fans go ape**** and say "ALI by KO , first 1round..." against today's Wlad klitschko ?...

    I say MAYBE....or maybe not...
    Who ****in knows...

That must mean Ali has a bad chin right? That's why he went to war with Fraizer and never lost by KO, and then took shots from Foreman purposley. Both were bigger and hit harder then Cooper. Sorry but your argument is ridiculous and stupid.

As for the topic, sthmoas explained everything. You're forgetting that Wladmir has never faced a fighter in the calibur of Ali. He will tag Klitschko with rights and left until he TKO's Klitschko from severe cuts around the eye. Ali is no Chirs Byrd, Calvin Brock, Ray Austin, or journymen fighters like Alex Schultz and Ray Mercer. And that's why Ali would win.

Your also forgetting that Ali gave him a bad cut in the eye and often tagging with his left jab. He was fooling around with Cooper and was waiting for the 5th round so he can win by his prediction, and what did he in the 5th round? He finished him off. As for the knockdown, everybody gets knocked down. Samuel Peter took all the shots from Wladmir Klitschko, but he got knocked down from Jameel McCline 3 times. And we all know Wladmir is a harder puncher then McCline.

Let's get real... Ali was great for his era... but would be hammered by Klitschko. Wlad simply won't be outboxed, and Ali doesn't have the power, or style to rattle Wladimir out of his game. Ali had horrible head movement and Wlad would make him pay for it, in devastating fashion. Ali would have quite a bit of trouble leaning back away from Wlad's punches, which would be coming down on him, putting Ali's head right on the end of his power shots.

Ali has tremendous technical boxing skills, including great defense, that's why he rarley got hit during his prime. He doesn't need head movement when he has that speed to evade punches. How is Klitschko going to be able to take that Jab? Ali will nail Klitschko with that jab and then with thunderous combination shots like what he did to Cleveland Williams. Klitschko has never faced an A+ opponent, not a Mike Tyson, Larry Holmes type fighter. A lot of the opponents Klitschko faced are unskilled while Ali is not.

What? It is a known fact. I am not talking about dipping back away from punches, because that is a dangerous tactic, that only works against shorter fighters than himself, or at least guys just his height. Leaning his head straight back from a straight shot from Wlad would get him in serious trouble.

Ali had virtually no side to side head movement... which is what head movement is. Dipping your head straight back from punches is something that taller fighers with great reflexes can get away with, against smaller guys. That is exactly what Vitali Klitschko does. Now, can you see Vitali trying to just dip his head back against a guy the size of Valuev, with the talent of Wladimir? Maybe that will paint a better picture.

Look... we need to stop putting these guys from the past in the golden light, and pretend that they were just so much greater. Ali was a great boxer, lost some, got some gift decisions, beat some other top fighters, and was great for his era. It ends there. He wouldn't beat every other heavyweight head to head, all time... and he really lost to Ken Norton three times, to put things into perspective. I don't know why we have to pretend like time don't change. Now, if you put Ali in there against any other person from today, with Ali's size, and demensions.... now we have a discussion. It is just like when people talk about how Marciano would have walked through today's heavies.... are you kidding me? With that style, and light heavyweight frame? It's just crazy.

We need to understand that reality that fighters are great for their era's and it doesn't need to go any further than that. Ali is much higher than Wladimir Klitschko on the "all time" status, based on accomplishments... of course. Head to head, Wladimir destroys him.

You act like Wladmir Klitschko is the greatest heavyweight of all time. Remind you that he got koed by Corrie Sanders, a fighter who doesn't even compare to Ali in terms of skills. As for his head movment he beat Ernie Terrel who was 6'6 and RARELY got hit during that fight, and was using head movement to evade most of Terrel's punches.

In order for Ali to do all of those spectacular things.. he has to put himself in range of Wladimir.... and Wladimir simply would not allow Ali to box circles around him. I think that you are seriously underestimating Wladimir's skills. We are talking about a man who Tommy Brooks (used to train Tyson and a best friend of his, and also trained Holyfield).... after working with Klitschko Tommy said that he has NEVER in his life seen a heavyweight as talented as Wladimir, and that with his size, he doesn't think that any heavyweight he has ever worked with would stand a chance against him when he is on his game. He also said that Wladimir's hands are faster than Tyson's were, in Tyson's prime... what does that tell you... and those are punches being thrown from a MUCH bigger man, with much more behind them. Manny Steward also clearly stated that Wlad was the most talented heavyweight that he has ever trained... more talented than Lennox Lewis. Freddie Roach still says to this day that he was simply amazed after training with Wladimir the things that Wlad can do. He has never seen a man of that size do the things that WK does.

I think that they would know just a bit more than us. Ali was too small, too light, didn't carry enough power, and simply doesn't have the right style to beat Wlad.

It doesn't matter how tall the people were, when they weren't in Wlad's league. That is like me explaining to you ever 6'3" fighter that Wlad destroyed, and barely got hit.... they weren't Ali. Which is why I don't bother with pointless things like that.

Let me know when Ali turns into a blazing fast, 6' 4 1/2", Southpaw, who punches like a mule. Then... your point about Corrie Sanders might mean something.

Ali has way too much speed for Klitchko. Ali would pick him apart and would have K wobbly probably pretty early. He'd stop him around the 7th or 8th.

Ali would humiliate anyone in his prime.
You have never seen a heavyweight that fast and clever before, after!
To bad they threw him in prisson when he was best, he was to good, popular and controversal.
No one will ever come close to Ali imo.

I know what you are trying to say... but you didn't say it. Hell, anyone could fight the best everytime and get their ass beat. You actually have to perform well, and win at that level. You definitely don't have to be undefeated, though... I agree with that.
