Ali would clown him . What is one thing Wlad has over him except for size and punching power?

Of course he competed,Lennox was ready to be taken out of the oven while Vitali was baked to perfection but he still ended up being burnt. History says Vitali should have won but he got schooled.

Ali was great and changed the sport. But who are we kidding? Wlad would absolutely embaress him, boxing has changed. Wlad is so much bigger and so skilled

This is a joke poll right??? No one can seriously say that Wlad would have a chance of beating Ali. Even if Ali had one arm tied behind his back, his leg in a sling & blindfolded I still wouldn't give Wlad a prayer. Ali destroys the robot with ease:patsch

Ali wins on points. Can't see how Wlad would deal with the faster and more agile Ali. He would get beaten to the punch all night long and that would negate his jab and grab style.

Ali had the chin to withstand the odd big shot from Wlad and the stamina to last 15 rounds so would be too active for Wlad over 12 rounds. Ali tended to struggle with small fast guys with good left hooks like Frazier, Cooper, Doug Jones etc. These guys were quick enough to get to him and beat him in in close and Wlad has no inside game whatsoever.

I can't see Wlad out jabbing Ali as they had the same reach and Ali's was faster. How would Wlad deal with being out boxed and out sped which is something he never has to deal with. Could he walk Ali down? I doubt it Ali just had the wrong style for Wlad.

Are you referring to my post? If you didnt notice, I had a list of GOATs from all the major sports league. the biggest myth today is that better athletes means better players/fighters. While in reality, the only thing a better athlete insures is a better athlete. You get better by being trained by the best and fighting/playing against the best. In boxing fighters fought a lot more than they do today and in the gym they probably had more wars than fighters today have real fights.

The best fighters today are called old school for a reason because they have studied and master the craft like old school fighters. A prime example is Bhop at 179 years old is "cagey" enough to school all these young pups at such an advanced age. Bhop does all the subtle things that all these young fighters do not have a clue about and never will. Unfortunately, unless fighters like Bhop, JMM and floyd turn into trainers more of that knowledge that has been lost over the last 25 years or so will continue.

A prime example of the dying art form is that the hw of today have zero inside skills. I just watch TKO6 again and was amazed that Vitali did not have a clue what to do on the inside against LL. LL was busting him up to the body and killing him with the upper cut. If Vitali knew what to do he might have been able to defeat the last great HW champ and join the ranks himself.

I think this looks a lot like Ali-Bugner. Wlad's obviously a better fighter, and a harder hitter....But like Joe, he's a tall fighter who works of the jab- and like Joe, he does tend to be somewhat passive and methodical in terms of approach. That gives Ali the chance to out-point him with a faster jab that might not land all that much more than Wlad, but will probably be sufficient to earn him the majority, though not all, of the rounds of the scorecard.

The 1967 version of Ali cuts up Wlad of any time period up and via TKO late in the fight....10th round.

Later Ali....post Frazier I: Wlad wins decision.

    I am assuming a 12 round fight.

the true wlad would kill him in one round. he would beat him in golf too

see we think the real Wlad was abducted and replaced by a fraud from the alien mothership the night before he fought Sanders. it actualy happened 2 more times to wlad. they released him though after Vitaly threatened to knock every alien ass back to the future where they came from. unconfirmed sources tell wlad stole an iron chin from one of the cocoon warders whom he killed with one uppecut. knowing he has deadly uppercuts he stoped using them against human kind.

ever wonder why they call him WLAD 2.0? now you know
