Are you sure your numbers are correct?

Lyle should be 1-4 (one KO)
Norton should be 2-5 (one KO)

Where's Joe Bugner? :hey He'd be something like 0-5 vs the Elite (and 0-1 vs Sons' of the Elite).

I'm waiting for the storm here - "Ali's wins over such and such were disputed...blah....blah......."

 Bugner's 1983 performance against Frazier's mini-me was embarassing to watch. Anytime Joe scored a decent shot,he looked like he was ashamed of doing anything positive at all. Bugner could have won that,if he had n't have done his "I can run and I sure CAN hide" pantomime piece.

Maybe he was on a bonus to lose.

Joe was really annoying in this phase of his career. Dropping decisions to Frazier Jr. Tangstead et al. Even though he was past his best,he still had enough left to convincingly beat this level of opponent.

Mind you,he also should have beaten Jack Bodell, the decade earlier too.

Yeah, his comeback 1986 - '87 in Australia was much better. But then he turned up for the Bruno fight at about 256 pounds and went through the motions and got busted up, a fight I don't think he was too keen on winning.

Definitely agree with you about the Bruno fight. I recall watching it live, and as soon as Joe peeled off his gown to reveal his Michellin man suit,I thought "Oh sod it...he's just going to go through the motions.."

I love Ali, but i admit that i scored Ali-Norton III for Norton, & Ali-Shavers for Shavers.

Although in fairness, Post-Manila Ali was a shot fighter, so those arguable losses shouldn't be held against his greatness.
