Frazier caught him with a left hook due to fighting at him a close range and getting inside. They matched up really well.

Wilder has huge power, but his favourite punch is his straight and overhand right hands.

He may not have been able to have landed those shots.

He jumped straight back up didn’t he.

He was also more durable as he aged.

Boxing is truly fascinating. Because it’s so complex when you break it down.

Cooper had a huge left hook. And because of his small stature, he could step inside and whip it in hard from close range.

Wlad couldn’t land that same type of hook. Because he’s much taller. Which means that he wouldn’t have been able to have whipped it in as close and as fast, from that same angle.

They’d have matched up completely differently.

Every single factor makes a huge difference.

    Cooper could use more leverage.

Him and Frazier were coming up with it, whereas Wlad couldn’t have done that at his height.

They were both faster than Wlad too.

So although Wlad may have crushed Cooper, he couldn’t have fired in a left hook at Ali, from the same distance, at the same speed, at the same angle with the same amount of leverage.

I have a hard time envisaging Wlad knocking Ali out with a left hook. I think if he was to knock him out, it would have been from another punch.

Ali did not lose all 3 fights with Norton. He won 2 of the 3. If George says it then it must be true. The same George claims he was so scared of Joe Frazier and Norton his fear of them made him brutally knock them out before they got warmed up.

Yeah, I’m sure Wilder, Ruiz and AJ etc, would be too much for him.

How long have you been posting this garbage?

It’s not like we’re hypothetically looking at whether Ali could fight at HW is it?

He fought Frazier, Patterson, Liston, Foreman, Norton, Shavers and Holmes etc.

I think we’re safe to assume that as a proven HW in the 60’s and 70’s, he’d have been able to have held his own against today’s current top 10.

I could not agree more. It’s stupid to suggest Ali cannot hold his own against the current generation when he beat much better fighters than these guys.

Please, I'd appreciate it if you didn't disrespect Big George's opinion like he's a fool, he's just being truthful

You realize we've seen Fury w/ top HW's just a couple of times only so far? And that's in this crappy HW era. People need to slow down....

I agree. Fury has the tools. I just feel he's being pushed to ATG status a bit prematurely. That's alright though.

average high back then was a lot shorter then today, so therefor less tall people that had the talent. Its not like being 6‘5 wins you a title, you just have a tremendous advantage when you are on a comparable skill level then your opponent but have a height advantage.

also back in the day training methods were not as good as today. Today you know how to train 6‘7 guys so they can get their coordination and explosivness. Look at wilder and fury.

Only idiots think that. If a one armed man like Frazier could beat him, than you can be sure there are others that would have beaten him also.
