Frazier won't be able to land any significant body punches. Vitaly will pound him when he's coming in.

Vitali was simply too big, powerful with skill to match. It would look something like the Foreman fights or Peter/Adamek fights.

Frazier isn't dishing out the same kind of pressure that Lewis was in that fight. It's a lot different when your are in the clinch with a man the same size as you rather than shoving somebody 30 lbs smaller away with your forearm.

You think Lewis cut Vitali bad, I cringe thinking about what that left hook would do to him!

Actually you'd think so, but it turned out that he wasn't that strong at all, and weirdly non athletic to boot. He had obvious punching power, but a weird lack strength for such an iconic HW champ, which was hilariously revealed in some obscure early 70's gameshow he took part in.
For me he beat Ali 2 out of 3, but the second decently sized HW he beat was Buster Mathis.

I think the TV show was called "Superstars". You are right in that it was shocking how bad Frazier looked in some of the events.

Joe Bugner was bigger than Mathis. He had better feet a longer reach and a much better jab.

Vitali resembled Bugner more than George Foreman.

Bruno did it in UK, you don't want to watch his 100m either.

Huh? Boxing should be about all of those things & more.
Of course stamina should be involved. It would be unnatural to test who is the best at fighting & not have a basic, critical component of hand to hand combat involved: endurance & toughness expressed in large lart through stamina.
The guy who "just" has stamina rarely gets to show it-if he has no other skills including obviously defense, he does not last long against good opponents.

You think for the entire history of most fighting & professional boxing they have been doing it wrong & all fights should be very short? That is an extreme position that would have denied us numerous great strategic & even super-firepower, often back & forth battles.
