I think it would help him, especially in this kind of match up where he probably loses a bunch of early rounds.

Richard, there's just no way that Canelo could withstand that particularly menacing version of Foster.....no way.

I like everything about this post except for that word
"possibly"....possibly hell, Foster would have coldcocked Alvarez...no "woulda' shoulda',. coulda' about it.

Foster and it would be a massacre.
    Foster SHOOK Joe Frazier.
Foster took Dick Tiger out with ONE punch.
Henry Hank would have beaten Canelo from pillar to pillar and Bob best him twice.
You think KOV gave problems to Canelo with that jab?
Bobs jab is on another level then Kovs.

Canelo would never fight him trust me. He go after Rondon and then drop back down.

Until Alvarez shows that he can do more at 175 then I have to favor Bob Foster who’s undoubtedly one of the best ever in that class. Canelo’s win over a Kovalev was a good one. But a single victory over ONE past prime opponent isn’t enough of a gauge.

That’s exactly where I am at, if he manages to beat someone like Bivol, or Beterbiev then it could be revisited, but the sample size is way to small to evaluate.

I also think 15 rounds must play a part in this fight, a guy used to fighting 15 rounds against someone who hasn’t always looked fresh as daisy after 12 must come in to it a little bit.

I don't know why everyone is saying Foster KO's Canelo, it's very hard to land combinations on Canelo, you can land 1, but he usually evades the rest or they don't land clean

Camelo would get wrecked Foster is one of the best ever at that weight. Ginger fought a past prime alchoholic with swollen testicles.. Oh and very few fighters today would have the gas tank to do 15 rounds Canelo being one of them.

Canelo is great, but Foster is a bridge too far. Foster hurt Ali and Frazier, he'd knock Canelo out cold.

Pretty sure in that first fight GGG was snapping that head back with jabs.
Pretty sure in the Plant fight those were jabs landing.

Might last awhile, but when it ends, it would end fast and brutally. Foster by KO.

Canelo's head is later found, somewhere in the stands

Canelo would make Foster look silly at times, but I just can't shake the image of Foster absolutely flattening Tiger, and he would catch Canelo sooner or later...
