[1974] Tunney: Dempsey kos Ali in 1 round, Greb makes a fool out of Ali

Not surprising since Greb was at least 50 pounds lighter than Ali and wasn't a knockout puncher.

 

All of the guys from previous eras say this

Emotional involvement and delusion and outright poor analytical skills

 

Sounds like something you'd read on this site from some posters in the classic forum

 

It really is unfortunate that we have no films of Harry Greb's fights. He had so many fights over a long career and while not known as a particularly hard puncher, was able to defeat so many top men in the middle, light heavy, and heavyweight divisions. He was held in the highest regard by those who fought him and those who saw him fight. Too bad we can't see for ourselves what he was like in the ring.

 

And if you, and boxing, are still around in 30, 40, or 50 years, the guys that fought in 2021 will say the same sorts of things about the guys fighting in 2051.
And you will most likely agree with the 2021 guys.
