198 of 211 fans and Press had Mayweather beating Cotto

    I collected 211 scores this week for my fightscorecollector blog http://fightscorecollector.blogspot.com cheers to boxing girl for letting me do this on ESB

    198 had Mayweather winning , most common scores 115-113 , 116-112 and 117-111

    8 had Cotto winning (none from ESB UK forum )....1 guy on general forum had Cotto winning 115-113 (Vysotsky)

    5 had the fight a draw (none again from ESB UK forum)...3 guys on general forum had it a draw (114-114 x2 , 115-115)... (metal licker , timeout , damien38)

    i was able to collect 27 press scores from both sides of the Atlantic. Of this 26 had Mayweather winning but this time by wider margins 116-112 , 117-111 - not many 115-113s , only 1 member of the press Mr Suge Green of the excellent onthegrind boxing radio scored the fight a draw at 114-114.

    My scorecard read 115-113 Mayweather and i was able to get 19 scores on ESB UK forum who all thought Mayweather won.

    It seems that 13 people have absolutely no clue how to score a fight, or were completely steaming by the time the fight started :lol:

    no mate i never , trying to cut down the fights im doing this month as the Mrs is due our 2nd baby anytime now

    Cotto was pretty much outboxed in a 8-4 verdict iirc. He had a few good rounds and bust up PBF nose, gave him his hardest fight since Castillo 1 but 100% deserved to lose. The first lot of rounds he was picked off at will as he came in. It was only when he really forced teh issue and got up close that he got his success.

    Great fight, still think Ola v Huck was better though.
