Floyd's said Cotto toughest he's fought since Augustus.

I think i gave Cotto around 4-5 rounds, A few rounds i liked the effective bodypunching of Cotto compared to Floyd's 2-4 quality headshots.

Well we know Cotto had at least thirteen members of his family scoring the fight :D

Too much credit was given to Floyd hitting gloves at times. I thought HBO actually called it broadly right in terms of what was happening. It was one of Steward's better nights in the chair, probably because he knows both fighters so well.

His criticism at the end was spot on too - if Cotto had worked his jab more he would have been able to sustain his successes more.

Just watched it again I had it wider than when first time maybe due to cotto doing better than I expected him to,it was good to see floyd have to work for the victory and put spite into his punches similar to Mosley after 2nd round.

Good post, I was shocked how good Miguel's full guard was it was tight where as i expected him to dip and slip shots but he maintained good defence. I agree on usage of the jab his attacks got a little basic at times but the funny thing is Miguel will have came out of that feeling like he could of done more to win and also with aspects he can learn from.

Oh and that's got to be the first time i've seen Cotto finish the fight strong and offensively in a long time!. Floyd looked tired and looked like a man hurting. Proud of Miguel's efforts and showed the fight wasn't a bad thing he can move on and purue big fights.

Miguel, oddly, thinks he won the fight. He might have pulled it out if he'd kept his foot on the gas, like Harold said, but he didn't. I don't mind, he did something people said he couldn't.

How can people seriously put a case forward for Cotto winning? I'd love to know the rounds they had him winning...

It will be people who value work rate above quality punching.

He doesn't think that, some people from his team put out statements that he was shocked by the decision and was going to protest but that's not his opinion.

More often than not (out on a limb a bit) Floyd was the one throwing more punches rbr. Certainly he threw a lot more through the whole fight.
