Disgraceful. My father was a bookie in Soho in the run up to that fight and they had Marvellous Marvin come and open the shop. I'm told he was an absolute gentleman, polite and courteous and that a lot of people were sickened by his treatment.

They aren't' even true fans of the sport. Just a bunch of scum who turn up to certain big fights. Don't know **** about boxing.

 

Terrible scenes, stuff like this happens all over the world though, don't know what this forums obsession is with Britain/Europe vs USA.

 

That's one but this video probably is the worst in boxing history when a local fighter from Argentina lost to a Filipino boxer. It just just happen last year. You could sense the fear right away when the winner's handlers protect him from enjoying as the people starts to throw water bottles, chairs and went inside the ring to punch the boxer and his team(starts on the 50th min.)

That was bad, but the more recent brawl after the Rahman - Maskaev fight was even worse

Also golota-bowe brawl was also pretty bad

Back to the topic... The people in the crowd are not fans, they are losers. A fan would never be so disrespectful to someone who has shown the remarkable courage to step into the squared circle. Every fan understands the nature of boxing and appreciates the science. These people are thugs. We have thugs posting on this very forum, people who THINK they are fans, but that lack a basic understanding of the sport. People like timeout.
