I rather see them at 135-140 cuz Duran was....... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=em_WYo4sVg8[/ame]
The Duran that beat SRL would beat Pac but if Duran came in bsing all fat and not motivated I don't know.
I'd go with Pac. I think he could slip around and confuse Duran, and I think he has the edge in physical assets. Plus, more punch output.
Duran would win this fight, end of story. But it would be a hell of an entertaining fight while it lasted. The Duran that beat Barkley would also beat any version of Pac that they'll ever be. Pac's an awesome fighter, but any lightweight who can take Barkley best shots and knock him down..is going to hurt Pac big time. Hearns would also beat Pac as would SRL.
Duran. He'd take Pacman's best shots and for that one moment where Margarito rushed him and hurt Pacman Duran would be doing that same deal all night. He was no plodder like Margo, Duran cut off the ring. He also hit, much, much harder than Margarito and I'm betting he punched harder than Manny too. Only thing Manny has on Duran would be speed, but a motivated Duran was no slowpoke. Duran by brutal bodyshot and mugging. He also hated guys like Leonard that gave a goody 2 shoes image like Pacquiao, so he'd really hate Pacman and embarrass him the most he could.
Add Carlos Palomino to Duran`s victims at 147, he was better than those 2 duds & Hatton was beaten at 140, put DLH or Clottey instead.
Any version of Duran pre no mas beats Pac... ESPECIALLY the versions that beat Leonard, Palomino & Dejesus.
Love Pac (my favorite active fighter), but Roberto Duran was a class above Pacquiao and Mayweather too. Duran's body punching, superior skill, and much better defense would see him through to a stoppage win. I'm not even sure Pacquiao could beat Carlos Palomino with his physical strength, body attack, and power. And let's not even begin to discuss Pacquiao's chances against SRL.
