The 92 Holmes would beat Haye.

So its not even worth discussing what the 82 Holmes would do to him.

Haye would have just been a routine title defense..... Haye would have his moments but whenever Holmes felt like it he would have his way and take over..

    Holmes Tko 10

If haye managed to get more active he could have snatch close SD over 85 version of Holmes (first spinks fight).
He may be more willing to engage because lary is not bigger thn him and is not a puncher. But who knows.
And no. Even if haye manages to fight a fight of his life against 82 Holmes hell still get beat. There are very few great HW champs that I would fancy him to beat. Maybe Patterson, walcot, charles, sharkey, carnera. But I wouldn't bet anything on it.

Even haye beating that Holmes is reaching... Holmes wasn t a big puncher but at least average and hit hard enough to keep most top HW honest.. Check out how many Kos Holmes had in title defenses.. .. Even a faded Holmes was still very crafty and would School haye at times.. Only Hayes youth and speed keep him competetive with a faded Holmes.. Nothing Fancy or crafty about Haye, who would not frustrate Holmes.. The way Michael Spinks did.... Carl Williams gave Holmes all he wanted right before that fight.. But Williams was a better boxer and bigger than Haye....

Haye would have to wait for a mid to late 90s version of Holmes.. Like i said in the other post Haye would have been a run of the mill lower top 10 contender in the 80s.. And the top ones like WItherspoon,THomas,Tubbs,Page,Dokes,Weaver,Cooney,Bruno would beat him, and probably a motivated Berbick too... Coetzee probably kos him... A rejuvinatedd Bonecrusher of the late 80s cleans his clock... Haye nothing special just hyped and fighting in a weak era(outside the K bros)

Holmes beats Haye in impressive fashion. Zero question.

dude, seriously? do you sit around and get drunk and just make it the stupidest fantasy match ups?

1982 Larry Holmes was 39-0 and pretty deadly

i went through some of your other dopey match ups where who the **** would come up with them much less really know or care who would win because they aint never gonna fight

mitch blood green vs jerry quarry was a classic one you thought of :rofl:patsch

The only reason you could have for asking this question is to get humorous responses. Holmes would have pimp slapped Haye at any point of their respective careers.

Haye would steal a few rounds with those wild flurries of his but Holmes wins a clear decision.

****, i would put money on a 2011 holmes vs. last night's haye. the only way haye can knock someone out is boring them and putting them to sleep!
