    i like byrd in general but tubbs is the most underrated heavy of the 80s. he had cuter skills than byrd, significantly more pop and when he was in shape, a more competent offense. byrd would be reduced to an even more negative style thanusual since he'd be hitting nothing but air; this is not some lumbering brute and tubbs would pick him apart and precision punch byrd to the point where he's just trying to pick his sporatic spots and steal rounds.

    Outside of possibly Larry Holmes, nobody from his era outboxes Tony Tubbs.Tony wins an easy decision over Chris.

    tony tubby too slick for byrd. Plus the extra pop in his punches gets the nod.
