Tubbs was a 1980's fighter which means he was ok, but just interim. Sort of like John Ruiz or Valuev. Vitali would beat him easily by late knockout or decision.

Vitali Klitschko has done NOTHING to warrant his being elevated to the position some of you guys have him.

I mean, yes, Tubbs was definitely one of those mediocre musical chairs interim alphabet holders, but Vitali's achievement aren't much better.

VK has benefited from being a huge draw in Germany, co-promoting his own fights and being given favouritism by the WBC who seem to give him free rein to fight joke challengers.
Tubbs was just another commodity of Don King, and King didn't give a **** if Tubbs or Witherspoon or Page happened to win. Yes, Tubbs was a slob at 244, but Witherspoon was actually a real challenger, not some friggin' joke like Shannon Briggs or Danny Williams.

Imagine if Tubbs or Witherspoon or Pinklon Thomas were allowed to defend against guys who didn't even really belong in the top 10. Did you see what Michael Spinks did to Steffen Tangstad ?
Tangstad as good as most these "challengers" VK is defending against.

VK is defending against disgraceful challengers and some of you are lapping it up and proclaiming his greatness.
The 1986 equivalent of a 2010 Shannon Briggs would be like Earnie Shavers being called up to fight one of the champions. A joke challenger.

VK might well be a formidable heavyweight but his title fights are basically fraudulent. In his defence, his brother has cleaned out some of the better fighters, and the division is weak. Still that's no reason to try to pass VK off as a "true ring great".

And that Shot, Fat, 38 Yr Old Lennox who trained on Findus Chicken Dippers with Reggae Reggae Sauce DESTROYED Quitali for 4 rounds after sluggish start in round 1 + 2 as he was v.Rusty. VITLAY looked like he was about to die in round 5+6, hugging on like a bloody dead-man.

PRIME Tubbs takes Clear UD over any Voidtali. :deal

Did you ever think VK is so good that he makes his opponents look bad?

Briggs 2010 > Shavers. Remember the reason why Briggs gets a shot is because Valuev or Haye won't fight Vitali. Adamek will. He is ranked high, in his prime, and has beaten a top ten heavy.

Since his comeback at ager 37, Vitali has beaten four ring magazine ranked opponents. Adamek will make it five. The winner of Solis vs. Austin could make it six.

I get the feeling you simply do not care for VK, but I'm sure he would pound and out box Tubbs with relative ease.

    You dirty VITLAY-Fangirl.

Shavers would KTFO Prime Briggs - so DONT tell me 12 years Past-Prime, SHOT-AS, FAT, 38 yr old statue Briggs with NO-defense And with a punch out-put of 3 punches Per round beats Shavers. Briggs was DEMOLISHED and RUINED 12 yrs ago by Lennox And Lennox knocked-down Peak Briggs 4 times, Voidtali couldnt even get 1 knock-down with HUNDREDS of power-punches. :rofl:rofl

Adamek is a weak feather-fisted blown-up LIGHT-Heavyweight - a SuperHeavy Champ fighting him is bloody pathetic. Shot old Grant And Shot old Golota make Adamek look Better then he is - BUT they v.good wins by Voidtali's shitty standards of shitty Bum JOKE title defences. Fat Lardtub KFC-boxer Arreola is a v.crappy win too.

Solis is a FATTY blue Whale BUM And Austin is a crappy USELESS bum too.

Ring Mag opponents means NOTHING if teh Division is the WORST IN HEAVY HISTORY And full of fat Bums And old shot men who were good 10+ Yrs ago. :deal

His last three challengers were objectively poor challengers going in to the fights, not deemed such only in retrospect.
    Arreola was a little better.

Everyone knew they were weak challengers. They are comparable to Steffen Tangstad or Scott Frank in the 1980s.

    Anyone objective would accept that.

Valuev is a discredited fighter. That would have been a bad challenger too. Valuev lost to Holyfield in my eyes, and he's done nothing since but lose to Haye.

Yes, Adamek is an acceptable and reasonable challenger, but would you argue that he's as good as a 1986 Tim Witherspoon, 227 pounds, who Tubbs had as challenger ?

I don't think Adamek is as good as Witherspoon, or Tubbs, or Berbick. Do you ?

I don't even read ring magazine. I don't care about their ratings. I look at form going in to a fight, and record.
Shannon Briggs had NO form to speak of, just some sideshow 1st round KOs in grotesque set-up tomato can matches.
Albert Sosnowski and Kevin Johnson had NO proven ability against world class contenders.
Those were the facts going IN to the fights.

Tubbs by decisioin, but he has to be in decent shape, or Vitali wins by a late stoppage or decision.

  13. With all my respects honestly i think the people is very hypocrite . All we know that vitali would ko or tko tubbs, berbick,spoon..
Even 38 years old lennox lewis would have beat all these guys, and vitali was winning lewis in the cards, lennox was lucky to win by cuts.

    Vitali klitschko is seriously underrated.

He is 6´8 245 pounds, ripped, skilled, good speed for his size, great hitting power, strength, good chin, good stamina...
Vitali klitschko would be a hard match even for every legend.
The only argument of the people is "cris byrd did beat him" bird did cut him, it is all. Vitali would destroy him in a rematch, simply.
Was buster douglas better than tyson? Schmeling better than joe louis? ......

Not taking sides here, but I have to agree with you.. I give VK credit for initial comeback efforts two years ago. He was in his late 30's and returning from a 4 year layoff to beat respectable opponents in peter, Gomez and Arreola... But since that time however, he's basically been record padding.. I can't think of too many eras where a man could fight a persession of men like Shannon Briggs, Albert Sosnowski and Kevin Johnson, yet still retain a title. Hell, Spinks was stripped after only one soft match with Steffen Tangstad..

I think Briggs and Johnson were better than Tangstad or Frank. As I said before, at age 39 fighters are still avoiding Vitali. Have you ever seen this before? Vitali has lost one round in his past three fights. Could Ali, Holmes, or Louis done nearly as well at age 39? Hell no. The fact that a 39 year old who has suffered bad injuries is still this good is a testimate to greatness.

Anyone objective would accept that Vitali is very dominant at age 39. Valuev, Haye and Solis refused big money fights at a shot at world title. Clearly they fear Vitali, and know he would beat them badly.

Depends on which Witherpsoon showed up. I think Witherpsoon at his best is better than Adamek. Vitali vs. Adamek should happen. By anyone's standard Adamek is a top level fight in his prime right now. When Vitali shut's him out and stops him, maybe, just maybe you give him some credit for a change? Nah, you'll find something wrong with Adamek.
