Interesting matchup. Curry was probably faster in his hands then Pac, and highly skilled as well. Lost most of his biggest fights, but still, was a very good WW in his prime, with some pack behind his punch. I think Curry wins this. Wouldn't even count out a KO.
This is a mismatch on a grand scale. Pac would be out in less than two rounds. A prime Curry was bigger, faster, and stronger than Pac. He was also a quick starter.
Curry was a very talented champ. Unified champ at that. His power was great at WW. When he finallly lost to Honeygan, he was so not focused with his brother being committed, sister dying, and I believe he lost his grandmother all in a short distance of time. The lone star cobra would have taken him out within three.
Between 1983 and 1986 Curry was an amazing fighter at welter. Arn't there any decent lightweights we can find for fantasy matchups with Pac?
Curry had the mother of all left hooks, superbly skilled allround would`ve beaten Lloyd Honeyghan if he trained properly for it.People said he had weight problems but i reckon he was looking past Honeyghan for a mega fight with Hagler. He`d of beaten Pacquiao though.
