If you took Tyson from 88 when he was at his best do you think he does well? It would take the best kickboxer in the world to have a chance with that tyson, and He'd still probably come out on top, so you would definetly have to take him down. I think he Reranges someones face with the 4 once gloves that MMA fighters were if he lands anything solid.
Depends on a kickboxer. If kickboxer has hard knocking kicks it's 50/50. Generally you'd definitely want to take Tyson to the ground and sub.
Better yet. Take Tyson from 88 and train him in MMA rather than just boxing. How would he do today. Tyson's crazy quickness and reflexes were awesome
tyson vs the crocop of the pride streak? i'd like to see tyson vs aleksandr karelin in an mma event similar to the early ufc's. minimal cross training, just two of the scariest mother****ers ever to grace their respective sports.
he had some stocky legs if i remember correctly, lots of power for sure. i imagine he could shoot in well and kick like a mule if he was taught right.
Who cares about kickboxers, he would just be submitted. He had no wrestling skills to speak of. He was fast and could rush on the inside before they take him down then he could get an early KO, but that is his only shot, otherwise if he doesnt KO them, they latch on and once they are on the ground he is done for.
You mean the step aside money that Don King convinced Mike pay off because he put the word in Tysons ear that it would be a good business decision since Holyfield was more of a lucrative fight that was pending for the last 4 yrs. since Tyson's incarciration. Oh Yea, also considering the fact that Lewis was knocked the **** out by Oliver Mccall the yr. before, and nobody would of gave a **** or gave him credit for beating Lewis at that time, and probably would of made the claim that he ducked Holyfield. How bout the Time when Foreman also did some ducking too, by avoiding 2 former Tyson victims in Tony Tucker and Bonecrusher Smith, both who would of kicked Foremans 40 plus yr. old ass. Oh yea, btw, be happy that Foreman didn't fight mike either, Mike gave Foreman an opportunity to handpick a small guy in Micheal Moore to become a oldest Heavyweight champion of all time, which looks great on paper to the public rather than be retired for good by a younger Mike Tyson.
Tyson would do great standing. Even things like elbows he was good at in boxing Take him to the ground to win. Tyson looks too stocky to be effective as a grappler. His approach would might need to be power/strength based but I fear he'd suffer v a Jits expert.
you know damn well if you were a pro boxer in 88 you wouldnt want to fight tyson. and from what i remember he didnt avoid foreman he idolized and respected him and refused to fight him.
If i was a pro boxer in 88-90, I would seek to fight tyson. Easiest payday ever. Go to sleep and get a million.
in that sense yea i would too but you know once the fight came with the aura around him at the time you'd be scared shitless
