[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58aMy4MzVsU&feature=fvsr[/ame], This is what you call impressive. Jose Ribalta took Tyson's best,(I actually thought he was drugs at one point when Tyson hit him with a vicsious uppercut when his mouthpiece was knocked out and he still wanted to fight)still kept fighting, tied Tyson up, continued throwing uppercuts the whole fight and tried to win and Tyson still punished him and CARRIED HIS POWER LATE IN THE FIGHT. This is for all the people who claims he never had stamina and couldn't get late knockouts. Ribalta fought him perfectly that night and he still wasn't a match for him. Plus he was 6 foot 6, with a much longer reach and was using it in their fight. lTyson was phenom back than and a force to be reckon with.

Big Flaw in Ali's offensive attack: He was a head-hunter.

Look at Ali throwing...Jab, Jab, right-cross, Jab, right-cross, etc. All relatively near the same height/target.

He isn't mixing it up. He isn't throwing body-punches and throwing from different angles.

Let me see him throw Body-shots, uppercuts, Jabs, Right-Cross, Left-hooks, etc.

If Ali would have done that, he may not have had such a hard time.

Although, mixing it up with certain punches can also leave you more open to be countered. Depends against who...

    What did Foreman do?

    He mixed up punches.

One Example: He would throw the Jab, get Frazier to duck, then explode with an uppercut.
Using mainly the bobbing up and down movement doesn't work so well. Adding in Side to side movement is more effective.
You can't bob down into an uppercut.

Tyson can be tagged with an uppercut but he is also great at ad******g. At least when he was actually training for it. Because when he wasn't, he got his ass beat by guys like Douglas who were giving him angles, combination attacks, agility, etc. to deal with.
You can't be flat footed. Tyson was flat footed in that fight...like Frazier usually is.

Tyson was better at seeing the punch and making the opponent miss. He could bob and weave better. Up and Down; Side to Side.
The problem with Tyson is that the fluidity of that motion did seem less frequent as the fight progressed.

Tyson was also better with his legs to get in close quickly. Frazier was a slow...especially at this point.

The attacking ability was better with Tyson than Frazier. Tyson could mix it up and explode with fast combinations from different angles. And his uppercut was great and was quite effective against Taller fighters because he knew what to do and when to do it.

My problem with Foreman is that his defense is so leaky. He tends to leave his arms out there to push you back, create distance, etc.
But he is wide open for someone that isn't slow on his feet and knows how to get around it. And he doesn't move his head.

But again, not saying Tyson wins as I'm saying Tyson is no Frazier and if Foreman is going to beat him, he is going to have the beat the crap out of him like they all had to for most of his career. It's not going to be over early like Frazier. And I do give Tyson a chance. I don't buy that "no way" b.s. simply because he took out an over-weight, slow plodder, with one eye, one punch fighter like Frazier.
We're talking about "Peak vs. Peak" since we are in "fantasy fight world."

I dunno man, Shavers And Lyle, they're warriors man, when they go into battle, they come out, or don't come out at all. Tinkerbell would have to be movin' in And out And be agile with his flow, or Shavers would close tha show. His agenda would have to be to consume them, But what happens when they hit him tha hardest, can he comeback to win?? :think:think

HERE is a quirky quote i found -

“Everybody said he was invincible, but nobody never even threw a single punch at 'em. So I thought, 'Go-on, man, take a poke!' And sure 'nough, he was out cold!” ~ Duster Buglas on Mike Tyson.

So tell me why Mitch green(who used his jab and threw fast combinations at Mike), Tony Tucker(who also fought him back and was using good footwork and boxing him and knocked out an in shape Buster Douglas), Pinklon Thomas(who was very durable, had one of the best jabs at that time and was competitive with Tyson, came ready to fight, and who also was better than Douglas), Tony Tubbs(tried banging with Tyson on the inside and had faster hands than Douglas did), Larry Holmes(Although past his prime, was still a formable oppoent came in with a solid stragey that night, who was also better than the Douglas that fought Tyson), and Razor Rudduck(I think Buster was a better boxer than Rudduck but didn't hit no where as hard as Rudduck who was a murderous puncher) all Fought Tyson back and they got KTFO or tried to survive. If Douglas did it, they should of been able to do it too, because they all fought him back, came in the fight in shape, and tried to win one way or another but was still overwhelmed by Tyson's Speed, Power, and Tenacity. But you'll probably comeback and tell me Tyson was at his best when he fought Buster, i'm anticapating it.
