Bruno was great in the Lewis fight. He just gassed/lost his concentration, got caught and froze. It was always the same with him at the elite level. Brunos chin wasnt even bad, he never got ICED like an Amir khan did. Tyson never properly knocked him down in their fights but he just didnt have it mentally

    No.

He was actually doing quite well until.............

His chin wasn't any better in '89 than '93, so he gets stopped either way.

I think he did better against Lewis than he did Tyson.

If prime Tyson was in there against '93 Lewis instead of Bruno....................ouch. Lewis would have been laid out.

    His chin was bad

Mickey Duff after the Lewis loss: "Frank just doesn't have a chin."

I think Bruno did as good as he could have in 93, I think he was better by then, he seemed more confident and determined to me. Remember thinking that was the best I'd seen frank, but knew it was coming, just couldn't keep that up. His tiredness and getting hit scrambled his senses. The flurry he did before getting taken out was disorganised and desperate, he lost his focus which would always happen.

I don't think his chin was bad bad. If it was tyson would have laid him out in one, witherspoon would have ko'd him earlier than the eleventh, Lewis would have done a ruddock on him, Smith would have done a witherspoon on him and mccall would have ko'd him. It was a mental thing with Bruno, getting hyped up and anxious. Plus the large bulk he carried around meant he gassed when fighting a hectic, high pressure fight. By the time tyson got him in 95 he was anxious as hell and fatigue set in fast. But only Smith actually ko'd him flat out.

I think he has a great chin, the hardest puncher he faced is the only one who knocked him out. When he was completely gassed after a long fight near the end. Not a bad chin at all.
