What your doing wrong is thinking of all these fighters as prime. Prime Tucker, Prime Bowe, Prime Tyson. but this was 91. The 91 Bowe IMO lost to old crack addict Tubbs and was down vs super bum Garing Lane.
91 Bowe is not gonna beat Adamek.

Foreman? If Foreman couldn't beat Morrison and Schulz what makes you think he would Boystov?

Mercer? Prime Mercer in 91 was begging to bums not to hit him any more!
I'll pick Helenius over a begging man any day.

Chagaev would beat that joke known as Tucker in 91.

Nobody doubts the early 90s were a very good era.

Compare to the 50s or the terrible 80s. Big difference.

Holyfield beats Wlad
Tyson beats Vitali
Bowe beats Adamek
Ruddock beats Chambers
Witherspoon beats Dimitrenko
Mercer beats Helenius
Foreman beats Boytsov
Tucker beats Chagaev
Lewis beats Arreola
Moorer beats Pulev

The only fight I consider to be close would be Holyfield/Wlad, but Holyfield would be too active and too skilled for Wlad. Everyone of those, bar Holyfield/Wlad, would be a destructive win for the 90's fighter.

Horrific division right now. The 90's was excellent.

You can mention it but it is a completely random, insignificant comment given the title of this thread. It'd be like wandering into a thread about Pacquiao and talking about Glen Johnson. You can if you want but you look like a twat if you do. A twat with an agenda, I should add.

It becomes an issue when you try saying the thread is 'fail' by bringing up a list from 1989 when CLEARLY he was talking about 1991 not 1989 or 1988 or 1995 or any other year.

Exactly this.

And I must say that's a rather glorious looking v-cash total.

Holyfield vs Wlad Hard to pick.
Tyson vs Vitali very hard leaning towards Tyson, because of Vitalis age.
Bowe vs Adamek KO win for Bowe Adamek can not take heavyweight punch!!!
Ruddock vs Chambers, Ruddock
Witherspoon vs Dimitrenko, Whiterspoon
Mercer vs Helenius, Mercer clearly unless Helenius gets injured :nut
Foreman vs Boytsov, honestly have no idea...
Tucker vs Chagaev, Tucker wins
Lewis vs Arreola, Lewis toys with fatty
Moorer vs Pulev, Moorer UD totally outboxes Pulev.

Follow this Jack. If you brain allow it:-

>Thread about HW Ring ratings. :patsch

>Thread about how good HW 1991 vs 2012 is :patsch

>Mention that 1991 was exceptionally good year.:patsch

>But mention that JUST 2 years before that 1989 was diabolically bad.
:patsch

Point out the FACT, that picking one year and then comparing it to another is fail.

And u think that this is like talking about Glen Johnson in a Paquiao thread?

The mere fact that this has got you to reply to it in the first place shows that ITS not an insignificant statement. This only points to one thing,

the onlyy guy with an agenda here is you.

As for continuing to be a twat, dont you worry my man, next to you I got no problem. Carry on.:smoke

Bowe showed up for big fights. He would beat Adamek.

I won't debate Foreman and Boystov because I am negligently ignorant of the latter

I can't see my original post now but don't I think I picked Tucker.

You're citing one fight from Mercer. Look at his chin and his power. I'm not saying he is an ATG. I'm saying he beats Helenius.

If it was just one fight from Mercer I'd say your right. The trouble with looking at past fighters people forget all the bad and only remember the good.
They only recall the Mercer who annihiated Morrison. But forget the same Mercer who just sliped past Cooper, Damiani and Odum. And also the Mercer who was humilliated by Ferguson and fought to a draw with Wilson.
