Lennox Lewis Vs Riddick Bowe not fighting each other has been widely discussed but considering the depth of competition in the 1990s heavyweight division which over match ups would you have liked to have seen? And if they didn’t happen then why?

    Here’s a few to start

    Buster Douglas Vs Riddick Bowe
    Frank Bruno Vs Riddick Bowe
    George Foreman Vs Ray Mercer
    George Foreman Vs Oliver Mcall
    Andrew Golota Vs Frank Bruno
    Andrew Golota Vs Ray Mercer

Wish we'd seen some of those fights!
    For me the winners are
Douglas gets a decision over Bowe
    Bowe stops Bruno late
Mercer shock decision over George (split)
George battles through to get a painful decision over McCall.
Bruno hurts Golota early and he quits at the end of the fifth round.
Mercer battles to a draw with Golota.

Hasim Rahman went 31-2 up until 1999 I suppose his biggest tests were David Tua and Oleg Maskaev who he both lost to. I wonder why he didn’t fight more credible opponents before then? The main names on his resume occurred after the millennium the biggest win on his resume has got to be Lennox Lewis all the other top boxers he fought he either drew or loss to.

He had no am experience and was learning on the job. His performance against Tua didn’t really hurt his standing. Maskaev did hurt, but Maskaev flopped and Rahman rebounded and got the title shot. HBO might’ve pushed Lewis to fight Rahman instead of Botha if he’d beaten Maskaev. And Rahman likely would’ve lost if that happened.
