    You could...........

The closest of the fights was Quartey... the only one I could possibly give against him.

Trinidad was fairly close, but he was an obvious winner, Whitaker made him look daft at times, but Oscar clearly won that one IMO.

this is a tough one when you look at it on paper, with the fights they were involved in and p4p i would choose sweat pea but ima have to go with tito for being such a dominant welterweight

I had Quartey winning the fight; I would say Whitaker was too close to call; I feel that DLH edged Trinidad.

I'm not saying your picks are wrong, but you can see how these things can go.

We both agreed on Trinidad, but that is the fight DLH officially lost.

Mosley also beat DLH at WW (close but clear in my eyes).

We tend to agree on most things I would say..........

I feel DLH beat Whitaker, Quartey and Trinidad, as opposed to your 2/3.

Mosley clearly beat DLH at 147, whilst it was close in rounds, it was clear who was the winner.

At 154 it was a totally different story. For me, DLH beat Mosley as well as Winky did.

Agreed; I lost money on that fight.

But that was at LMW, so it doesn't come into the WW equation; in the last few rounds of the Trinidad fight I had actually convinced myself that Trinidad had won it (due to DLH's running and the head of steam that Tito had built up); that fight left a bad taste in my mouth as far as DLH goes. Overall, I feel Tito was more dominant at the weight.

    Yeah......

    I see your point.....

But DLH made Tito look silly for the first eight rounds - in spite of the running DLH was a clear winner.

The 1993 version who beat Chavez and McGirt at 147 would have comfortably outboxed peak Oscar, peak Tito and peak Ike.

    2.De La Hoya
I believe he was a clear winner v Tito, plus he has a better win than Tito at 147 (Quartey) and he beat a better version of Whitaker than Tito did.

    3.Trinidad
I believe he lost v Oscar, but still had a good reign and some very good wins at ww.

    4.Quartey
Performed excellently v Oscar, but all-round he is comfortably the weakest of the 4.

only an arse hole would have voted for trinadad,
pernell whitaker would have made him look like his little ******* child, the only person tito beats is may be ike quartey but even that isnt certain, if quartey boxed him he'd win if he got into an exchange like he did with oscar in the 12 round he gets KTFO

On your second point, true, Oscar may have beaten a better version of Whitaker than Tito, but still Tito beat Pea really dominantly. Oscar well, many still debate whether he won that fight. But I can also say that Tito beat better versions of three fighters than did DLH. He beat Camacho in 1994 and Oscar in 1997. Tito beat Oba Carr (32-0) in 1994 and Oscar in 1999 and he beat Campas (56-0) and Oscar beat him all the way in 2003. So at welter Tito only fought one DLH leftover, Oscar faced three Tito leftovers.

In essence all 4 were good fighters at 147 but I PERSONALLY think Tito clearly had the best welter reign out of the four. He had like 17 straight defenses something like that and was champ for 6-7 years etc.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Buddy McGirt beat Felix Trinidad and Ike Quartey at his best. Maybe even Oscar too.

I agree. The Buddy who fought Pea 1st time in '93 would get the better of Tito IMO, not sure about Quartey or Oscar but he'd have a great chance. Very clever boxer who gave Pea more trouble than just about anyone else up to that point.
