Tricky fight, but I might see george hammering out a decision.. He had learned to pace himself in his second career, had improved defense, and McCall had the tendency to be lazy at times, as he was often in sparring partner mode.
I started a thread on 1994 Oliver McCall vs 1974 George Foreman. This thread discusses a comeback Foreman vs Oliver.
I dont see either guy stopping the other in this fight, both are pretty evenly matched. All depends on who wants it more.
McCall did beat a '95 Holmes, who was a more difficult proposition than the '91 Foreman in my opinion. Depends how gun shy McCall would be in there. I'll go with Foreman by UD.
This is one of those rare fights where the other guy might have a better shot against the young version of Foreman.
Probably George Foreman by decision. McCall didnt have a good enough defense to keep George looking for him. One thing you don`t want is George Foreman hitting you. That`s never a good thing. McCall would be there to be hit. I wouldnt be that suprised if Foreman cracks his chin even though McCall took a good shot Foreman`s power was different. He could move a man with glancing blows.
McCall has arguably the best chin in the history of heavyweight boxing. Michael Moorer is the only notable heavyweight who Foreman knocked out in his second coming. McCall is not getting knocked out.
