Foreman would use the ring and dance circles against Vitali en route to a UD

Only difference was,Foreman was well over 40 when he fought Stewart (a guy who fought hard against all the top contenders) and Tommy Morrison. Both Stewart and Morrsion had their best fights against old Foreman and both had very good KO power yet George also didnt go down once. And Morrison ran all night, even turned his back once or twice.
But anyway, maybe Vitali wins UD over Old Foreman but George had the power to let Vitali know he was in a fight.

I can see reasons for either guy winning. I have no doubt that Prime Foreman beats his ass off though.

-Stewart was just a year after the Evander fight. If you want to argue he suddenly fell off the horse in that time, I won't even waste my time.

-Vitali turned his back and ran from Arreola, he's not above such hijinks.

-You might want to ask yourself why these guys suddenly had their best nights against Old Foreman and did things they couldn't do against opponents who's feet wasn't glued to the mat.

    -That's a completely different matter.

-But Old Foreman is going to have a long night...

Foreman had incredible power but Vitali should be able to use his jab and blueprint of jab, right hand and move to tire out Big George and stop Foreman before the 12th...the younger version of Foreman would tire, the older version may lay back a bit but lose

Vitali would be too much for the 1991 Foreman. VK is a much better fighter than people give him credit for being. I think he would have beaten Lennox Lewis had it not been for that hideous cut that he suffered in their bout. I would even give VK a good shot against a young George Foreman.

Young George had about 50 fights in his prime and tired in 2 or 3 of them. He also won 2 of those fights that he tired in so the Foreman stamina problems are a myth. Prime Foreman was stronger and more aggressive and with better chin then Lennox Lewis who gave Vitali if anything, trouble.

My initial thoughts were Vitali wide decision, then I thought of the Lennox Lewis fight. Lennox was slower and past his prime at 37 too, like Foreman a rangy and strong puncher. The '91 version of Foreman won rounds, backed up and hurt the quicker but slower Holyfield. He has a heavy rangy jab of his own too

I think think Vitali wins but Foreman does win rounds and hurts Vitali

I'm pretty sure '91 George was in allot better shape than this, looks like the 95 version

I do think Foreman is allot better circa 90-91 than he was 93 onwards when he actually won the title

I agree with Mongoose. Vitali would probably get on his bike and take this by points.

He may have some scary moments in the fight, whether or not Foreman would
be able to capitalise on that i dont know

-The Lewis of the Vitali fight would look Ali fast against Old George.

-The picture is in fact from the Stewart Fight from 92.

-He was in really good shape but in that particular picture he is slouching and the camera is beneath him..making him look saggy, here's a more flattering angle and pose.

Cooney was old and rocked Foreman. Rodriguez wasn't very good.

Forman was never fast in his prime, nor did he do well vs. top level boxers ( See Young and Ali ). The comeback version of Foreman really didn’t stop a top rated guy with a chin. He was out boxed easily by the likes of Tommy Morrison ( who had chin and stamina problems ), and Holyfield, and both guys were shorter with less reach. Heck, Alex Stewart ( Who also had a shaky chin ) really busted Foreman up badly, and might have earned a draw or split decision if Foreman wasn’t viewed as a marketable cash cow. Foreman did pull off a memorable upset over Mike Moorer, but he was way behind in the fight, and Moorer had a very weak chin.

Vitali has a chin of iron, a high punch volume, never lost more than 2 consensus rounds by all three judges! He is very hard to catch cleanly. Even if Foreman lands a “ lottery type of punch “ , it’s not going to be enough. This fantasy matchup is not going to be competitive. 10-2 in rounds for Vitali, with a very good chance at a late round TKO win for Vitali if Foreman’s face swells up.

    Thanks for clearing that up

Foreman did land plenty against Holyfield and looked excellent occasionally against say Cooney, who I'm aware was done but it was a good performance. I'm not Old Foreman's biggest advocate but I see him having some success. I also think the '91 version is probably the best of the comeback versions

Stylistically fighters who come forward and back him up have more success against Vitali
