The Taylor that defeated Aaron Davis for the WBA WW title vs. the current WBA champion Shane Mosley.

Quite similar in style but the main difference between these 2 is Mosley throws dynamite, were as Taylor slaps. Mosley has a hell of a chin, Taylors is somewhat vunerable. They are going to engage and it all adds up to a Mosley KO

I love Taylor (Its a PHILLY Thang!), but I don't imagine this one turning out in his favor. Many people say Chavez ruined Taylor, but I have never believed that to be true and think it was Norris that ended him as an elite level fighter! This performance against davis remains one of my favorite Taylor fights as he showed every bit of what he was still capable of.

The downside is that meldrick whether from his Philly upbringing or just something inside of him loved to wage war in a slugging fashion rather than rely on the natural speed and skill I believe he possessed. He never had great power to begin with, and that became even more noticable at WW and above...not a good weakness to possess for someone who likes to engage in a contest of toughness.

This probably goes down very similar to the Norris fight, as Meldrick does have a speed advantage IMHO. He probably fares well in rd 1 and maybe rd 2, but Shane will not have to worry a ton due to his own chin, and Meldricks lack of power. By the 3rd meldrick would not be able to deter Shane or earn his respect enough to turn this into a boxing match. I would imagine by rd 6 perhaps earlier Shane stops him!

Great slugfest with Shane by ko. Both have fighter's mentality and will not back down.

Assuming that Shane can still fight as well as he did in 2009, Shane by decapitation. Taylor would move and stick early, possibly being able to outmove Mosley for a short time, but as soon as it came to exchanging (and with Taylor, it always would), Shane would destroy him. Taylor just doesn't have a punch forceful enough in his arsenal to keep Shane off or make him hesitate to come right after Taylor and use the size and power advantage Shane has.

Taylor looks fantastic, then later looks up at the referee counting ten.

Taylor was gone post March 17th 1990, he would not last eight rounds.
