Two gunslingers that came out banging, especially in the first few rounds. Who wins and why? My money would be on Corrie to slip a fast left hand in and hurt Tommy for an eventual TKO by the 3rd round. Wouldn't doubt if both fighters suffered knockdowns along the way. I think this would be an entertaining shootout. :good
Another vote for a quick stoppage for Sanders. I do not like the Morrison defense whatsoever against a tall lanky southpaw that throws untelegraphed shots like Sanders did early. Tommy will get hit on the button with one of those straight as an arrow shots and never see it coming. Bang. Great fight to watch though, and I wish it would have happened.
Agreed. A lot of people bad mouth both these guys but you gotta admit, they were exciting fighters. Sanders had that laser beam left hand with a lot of steam behind it. I think his chin would have held up against the early Morrison assault possibly having to endure a knockdown. But that left would have eventually found a home. Total shootout for however long it lasted.
morrison was admittedly roided up during this period and i think sanders was spending more time on the golf course by '99. i was never impressed by either but i'll take morrison in this fight.
Morrison via KO5. Morrison is faster & more skilled, but both can win this. Both have terrible stamina, but if it gets into the later rounds, a gassed Morrison's chin will be all the more vulnerable.
if morrison had fits with a southpaw cruiserweight names yuri vaulin..........then corrie sanders knocks the fuk outta morrison.
