I can't either, but who knows. As much dislike as most of us have for him, the guy does have the tendency to linger around like a cockroach, and prove to be a pain in the ass for a lot of good fighters.. My good sense tells me that Foreman SHOULD win in one way or another. But something else deep down inside tells me that Ruiz could manage to steal a decision..
..ruiz was made for the older, slower foreman..who was still as strong as samson. his stamina was better than the younger george, and he was smarter. he wouldn't have to chase ruiz because ruiz would come in and hold after every punch and george would be waiting for him. if he couldn't get a shot at ruiz's head he'd pound his body and bust it up until the jab-and-grabber wouldn't be able to stand up. somewhere along the way he gets stopped.
Picking Ruiz, though I admire him, is almost unAmerican...I can't see him beating big George. Ruiz may go the distance with the latterday Foreman, but not the young version. Ruiz is not/was not as slick and clever as Jimmy Young, who had George's number, IMO.
Foreman ko. If Ruiz tried to grab him the bigger stronger George would just push him off and nail him with the right.
Ruiz would be jabbing and grabbing and making it an awkward fight, not a good one to watch, hed probably pick up a good few rounds as well but with that style I think Foreman would get him out of there at some point, cant say when but I'm sure hed land a big right or 2 and finish it.
Foreman by a WIDE unanimous verdict or possibly even a late stoppage. Ruiz' WWE tactics would be ineffective as Foreman would manhandle Johnny on the inside and his underrated left jab would render Ruiz ineffective on the outside.
.....ruiz has one chance to win this one...by disqualification if big george gets pissed and throws him out of the ring..
Ruiz would be too quick for slow George. Foreman would have a shot at a Ko but if I was betting I would go with Ruiz.
