McCall was strong, durable and had decent heavyweight power. He may rattle Foreman a time or 2, may even put him on the deck. But with his relatively immobile style and him being there to hit, Foreman would likely end up using McCall as a replacement heavy bag.

Oliver definitely had a good chin back in the day, too. Lewis was ripping them at him in the second fight and he stayed up.

I think Lewis kind of held back once he saw McCall's royal breakdown.

Foreman would landed more than Bruno did and wouldn`t have posted with his arms constantly keeping McCall outside, he`d jab McCall`s head off, different class entirely, Foreman wouyld have destroyed Bruno.

George would have been more agressive than Lewis and would have worked the body better.

McCall looked small against Bruno and his arms looked too short, having said that he wasn`t throwing many jabs, Foreman had a far better jab he would land jabs like Bruno did, real ramrod`s.

Saw some posters comparing Lewis's or Tyson's power vs Foreman in the first few pages. One of the most ridiculous things i have ever seen. For the record, Holyfield who fought against Big George (when he was 42) said that he was the hardest puncher he ever fought, also said something about being afraid of taking his mouth guard off because he felt like his whole teeth would just come off. The rest is from ring magazine:

    STRONGEST
Foreman: Out of all the people, I would say George Foreman was the strongest. And behind him Lennox Lewis and Riddick Bowe. I could push anybody back, it wasn’t a problem. I couldn’t push George back. (Laughs.) You had to go around him.

    BEST PUNCHER
Foreman: George Foreman hit the hardest.

As much as I admire McCall's chin, i don't see this going well for him...

Both men were incredibly tough and powerful, so I see it being an absolute war. Whoever outslugs who. McCall has and edge in stamina, and Foreman is more aggressive. I think Foreman would take this one after a lot of trouble. Both men would hit the deck several times before the night was over. This an ultimate war of attrition. I agree, McCall might get the only knockout loss of his career, but I don't see McCall winning as a big upset.

This might seem strange, but I don't see McCall doing as well as Lyle did, though I'm positive he'd outlast him. I think McCall could possibly knock down George, but mostly I see McCall taking some wincingly heavy shots (the kind that would have decapitated most fighters) until the ref has to stop it. George would get rocked by the right hand for sure but he'd keep on Oliver and sooner or later the hands would start landing flush. McCall had an excellent chin...not THAT excellent, not in the face of probably the heaviest puncher who ever lived. And, as mentioned, George actually had relatively good hand speed considering the weight that was behind those blows.

McCall tended to get hit more than he should, and getting hit by prime Foreman more than you should equals a disfigured face and a ref getting freaked out by the force and of the punches taken.

After all this thought, I have go Foreman in 6, even if Foreman would be tiring some.

Also, when people are criticizing "young Foreman" they tend to bring about Lyle and Young fights as an example but both while not an excuse, happened as a result of the mental breakdown of the Ali loss (and especially the rematch Ali never gave or ducked). So if we are talking about young prime Foreman, i think it should be before Ali match.
