They say if you don't feed them, they will go away???? I don't really have a problem with anyone who picks Lewis to beat Tyson, although I don't envision that scenerio as the most likely outcome...It's just clear that this thread is agenda driven, just to annoy people. The OP is a joke, as most know!

Totally agree, I can see peoples point of view about Lewis, even though I don't personally agree, but yeah I know he's a wind up merchant.

A thread about two pre prime ATG heavyweights fighting each other is agenda driven.

How so? If you yourself already stated that you favor Tyson but dont really have a problem with some one picking Lewis does that not mean Mr.Hook has made a fairly even match up and is just asking for an opinion?

In light of not only previous agenda driven posts and threads....one need only look at the diametrically induced nicknames and poll options...Perhaps we could do a poll to see how many feel Hook actually wants an opinion, or is just seeking another venue to bash Tyson!

Tyson's a much better fighter than Mercer, overall, but Ray could soak up punishment better than Mike.

Nick names are just one of Hooks many quirks, i even think in recent times he has began to show more love for Tyson.

Making a thread to spark debate should be encouraged and the thread starter shouldn't be accused of spreading an agenda just because they have a strong opinion and are inclined to only one side of the argument.

I slightly favour Lewis to take out Tyson late. He was somewhat inexperienced and hadn't fought any top class fighters. Lewis had Ruddock Tucker and Mason (maybe not world class) this experience would be vital in my eyes as when Tyson wouldn't get his way he'd get frustrated and start going tua on him looking for one punch. However lennox wasn't the disciplined defensive fighter that he was in 98 onwards and I think that he may try to out gun Tyson. Very bad idea and would most probably lead to him getting KTFO.

Verdict - Lewis stays disciplined he takes Tyson out late. If he Try's to go to war with Tyson I'll take mike by KO within 6

Good post m8 cos he was stopped less, But Stamina is extremely important for taking punishment too, especially for come-forward short puncher guys who have to keep punching powerfully as they charge towards teh taller man or they get beaten-up, cos Tinkerbell had much less stamina then Mercy Killa. I do think if Razza Mercer had frontrunner "blow load early" stamina like Tinkerbell, he would of gassed proper bad and been TKO stopped on his feet late by Holyfield in 1995, who did drop and rock him late, But Mercer was not exhausted so he could fight back hard every round. Now look at Tinkerbell VS OG Holy in 96, poor little Mike gassed after 5 Rounds, got brutally battered by combos while dog tired, then TKO'd on his feet 6 Rounds of **** later. Same thing VS Lenny Lewis in 2002, Mercer took him to terrific trench war for 10 rounds of proper mint brutal battling, But Tinkerbell gassed after the 1st Round (ok to be fair he was canny shot, but deadly for 1 Round), then got his **** pushed-in like a prison ***** for 7 Rounds of brutal beatdown which was 100% one-sided sickness.:ko To compare,,, 1st time Razza Mercer took a one-sided brutalization was not until 2002 VS Wladdy Klit, when Mercer was as Shot as Tinkerbell was in that same year. :!:

I like Lennox for this, but not by much I agree with a few others here, that Lennox would look to frustrate Mike for the first 6, not looking to trade too much. with Lennox scoring more heavily in the second half, UD or late TKO for Lennox.

I think if they fought 10 times Lennox wins 7, Mike wins 3.

Mitch Green is a PROPER G!!!

Lennox lewis by decision. Tyson does well in the first 4 rounds and rocks lewis a few times but lenny holds on well, tyson hasnt had it easy though hes recieved some accurate jabs and that makes him groggy going into the later rounds. From the 5th to the 10th lewis can time mikes bobbing and weaving and keeps the jab in his face, tyson does hit lenny with some mean body shots that would of made a lesser man crumble, but as we all lennox has abs made out of the same stuff as chisoras chin (diamonds) big diamonds perfectly and soundly embedded into a huge granite core. And he would lay on mike to smother his work, he may even throw his technically perfect uppercut if mickey isnt outta dere quick enough, if he'd done that it could of been straight up ko in the 8th, but lets give the midget the benefit of doubt he was pretty nifty back then and would probably of managed to wriggle free from lennoxs gargantun reach. Anyway where was i, oh yeh by the 7th tyson is gassing hard, his movement out the window. And a sitting duck for the hardest right in boxing history, the lion beats him up bad in the last two rounds, tysons face is a bloody mess it looks like steak tartare but even rarer, about as a rare as tyson catching lewis with a decent punch anytime past the 4th,but lisp he has big heart at this time and reaches the end, its a relatively easy night for lewis. The scorecards read 98-92 97-93 98-92. No one is suprised.
