Could roided up Evan Fields win the battle of attrition against Bowe? His physique was definitely more suited for inside fighting in 1996.

Holyfield was diminished by '96. Nowhere near as fast as he was in, say, '92 (good legs). Too many wars that he liked.. left him flat-footed.

He was always on roids at heavyweight. Holyfield being slightly bigger would not help him

Holyfield around 1992 was the best Holyfield IMO even in losing to Bowe.

flat foot floogie with the floy floy.. is who Tyson faced in '96. Bowe is too young in '92 (25?) .. that's a true advantage.. one of the biggest.

I don’t think 1996 “ roided” Holyfield does any better than 1992 “ roided” Holyfield. In fact, given his age and wear and tear he likely does worse…

Holyfield was stronger and a bit wiser but he didn't quite have the energy levels or movement to beat a prime Bowe in 1996.

Remember Holyfield had the best success against Bowe in their 2nd fight when he used in an out movement firing off rapid combinations and then getting out of there.

I don't think the 1996 version of Holyfield was capable of doing that.

But I do think had the Holyfield of 1996 fought the version of Bowe in their 3rd fight he actually would've won the trilogy IMO.
