Holyfield who upset Tyson in 1996, VS Douglas who upset Tyson in Tokyo! 1996 Holyfield, 215lbs, 6′ 2½, 78inch reach This content is protected VS Tokyo Douglas, 231lbs, 6′ 3½, 83inch reach This content is protected Foreman Hooooooooooooook!:hat
As he was in Tokyo,I take Douglas to beat the '96 Holyfield over the distance. If Buster had been in the same frame of mind, and physical condition, when he and Holyfield actually met,he'd have dropped a close decision. The later version of Evander may have hit harder than his earlier self, but was n't so fast.
Holyfield for me, that Douglas was very good but still flawed, Holyfield's better technical skill and strength of mind sees him come through, maybe by a late TKO
I would look for Holyfield to win this with a late tko. I think Douglas will find Evander with his jab and cross, Buster has the style and tools to give Evander HELL .. He has a similar style to that of Riddick Bowe and to me even seems a little more offensively fluid then Riddick.. But he doesn't however have near the Moxy, toughness, conditioning (back then) or chin of Bowe... Unlike Tyson was vs this Buster, Evander will be landing his fair share of hard punches to Busters body and head.. Evander will be rough with Buster and not just stand outside and get blasted by Buster as Tyson did all night in Tokyo.. Buster is open for the uppercut and Holyfield has a good one which he likes to deliver on the inside.. I see a rough fight in which Evander uses his inside game, meaning his head his strength and all that made him the rough grinder that he was at this stage on full display.. I would say as he wears Buster down, he will begin to find him more and more.. The cards will be close after about 8 rounds but as Buster wears down Evander starts to take over... He takes his heart, wears him down and stops him in the 10th or 11th round... A very good fight in which Buster could hold his head high after for giving all he could... But in the end Holyfield is to much for Douglas... Holyfield TKO10...
