Trinidad in the late 1990s was a great welterweight, he had more than just power. I think Floyd Mayweather is a far greater fighter pound-for-pound, far greater, but Floyd was not a great welterweight. He had difficulty with a well past prime Oscar at 147, only sneaking an SD, so how would he cope with a peak Trinidad?? Another thing to consider is that Floyd was not the aggressive sharpshooter at 147 that he was at 130. If he lay on the ropes v a colossal puncher like Trinidad, he would be knocked out no doubt. As I said, I much prefer Floyd as a boxer and I wouldn't rule out him winning on points, but IMO Tito would win this one at 147. Peak Tito was no Baldomir.

Mayweather boxes him all day long imo. he'll take advantage on Titos flat footed approach aswel as his leaky defence.

    Mayweather UD.

You would back Floyd to win against Butterbean in a phone booth.

Did you see Oscar and Tito fight at 160? Trinidad was naturally bigger than Oscar. And late 90s Tito is a completely different beast to 2007 Oscar - why does that even need to be explained? :patsch

Also, you are overestimating Floyd's capabilities at 147 because you adore him. He never proved he could cope with top quality welterweights because he never fought any. Judah, Mitchell and Hatton are very small at 147, and Baldomir is, well, not very good at boxing.

What makes you think he would 100% beat a huge, immensely powerful, excellent natural welterweight who could KO people at 160lbs?

Difficult fight to predict, tito is getting underrated a little on here, he has more than just power, he was a very accurate quick puncher at welter and was a good boxer before he fell in love with his power.

Mayweather is the type of boxer that would cause tito no end of problems however, i also think mayweather chin was good enough to stand up to most of tito's shots and his defense good enough so he won't be having to take to many, a very tight fight where i see floyd landing the more quality scoring punches but not being very active, could go either way though if i was betting i would side with a SD for mayweather

floyd never faced anyone even close to Tito's level at 147 it's a shame people 4get just how dominant he was. think floyd vs castillo I and then think floyd vs prime tito at 147.... floyd don't win this one

Don't lie to urself man. Floyd beat oscar easy. 8 rounds to 4 in a tiny ass ring. against tito would be a normal size ring bc tito is not a little ***** like Oscar. Oscar request the tiny ring so he can cut the corners better. very very gay if u ask me. not a man at all.

you honesty think castillo can beat floyd? did u not see the rematch? it wasn't even close. As for the first bout. Floyd won the first 5 rounds easy and 3 swing rounds with castillo finishing really strong but mainly is bc of floyd's shoulder rotator cuff is torn. He injured during training and thats why it made it close but he gave the rematch like a man.
