'96 Tyson wasn't quite back to form and he'd probably never get there. I think he'd need a few more fights to get his balance and timing back as well as some real fights that push him to the limit. Holyfield was meant to push Tyson but not beat him. FOTC Frazier was in tip top shape and might prove too much for a '96 Tyson to handle. He wouldn't be holding, turning or headbutting like Holyfield did, but his workrate might prove to be too much for Tyson at that time. Frazier by decision....I think.
Frazier stops him late but a little earlier than Holy did. Tyson takes a beating but hangs around for awhile.
Mike Tyson would win! 1996 Mike Tyson was not a bad fighter, he was still fast, and lets face it! His timing and combination punching was still better than 95% of the whole division. Mike Tyson was in good physical shape, and the most important thing..? is that Mike was still bad. It would be a good scrap a very exciting fight, but Frazier would be taking blows in this fight! and i think he will give away first! Mike Tyson just hit to hard, Frazier style is not good against Monster hitters. It would be a short fight 4-5 rounds war. "Mike Tyson physically was just far too durable"
Frazier beats up this version of Tyson. Tyson's sharpness and countering was lacking at this point of time, and that would be necessary to compete with Frazier.
Very few fighters H2H can beat a prime FOTC Frazier, let alone stop him. A faded Tyson has an extremely limited chance of winning here.
That tyson didn't have the defence to trade with that frazier nor did he have the stamina to finish frazier off.
Peak Frazier vs the same Tyson that was stopped by Holyfield ????? Please, easy Frazier win... a fairer question would be Tyson of 88 vs Frazier of 71.
Tyson's head movement had slowed by this point, he'd get caught time and time again. FOTC Frazier matches up to just about any heavyweight of any era IMO
Tyson can still knock him out early, if Frazier survives the first 5 then maybe he wins. Tyson is still has the much better boxing skills, still more power, still faster, still the fast started against the slow starter. If Tyson puts you down early he keeps going for the kill, eventually the ref waves it off
