I was referring to the "10 years old" comment. Thanks for playing.

Radar, read the topic.... WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF THEY FOUGHT? Understand it? I doubt it. You are so far up Lewis' ass that rather than answer the topic of the thread, and give your view on how it would have shook out. You instead choose to attack my character, age, and occupation. Get over yourself. All because you somehow disagree with the facts that I presented?:huh Did Lewis NOT turn down the 13.5 million and accept 4 mill to step aside instead? What I said is true... I really don't give a **** why he turned down the fight, as I already said that I AM SURE LEWIS WAS NOT SCARED OF MIKE TYSON. However, I do think that it was a BAD decision on Lewis' part, as that was his opportunity to jump into the thick of the heavyweight mix during his era.

Post prison Tyson's resume is pure garbage. It is littered with guys like Francis, McNeely, Neilson, Botha, Norris, Savarese, Eitienne, Seldon etc. Those guys are garbage.

Every time Tyson stepped up post prison he was beat. Compare the class of the guys mentioned above to Lennox Lewis at the time. It is not even close. They were interested in milking money from the public post prison not getting Tyson a second legacy or anything like that. They wanted nothing to do with Lennox at the time and rightfully so their fighter was looking for a one punch KO and fighting guys that were awful.

Nothing Lennox could have done in 1996 would have got Tyson in the ring with him. At the time he was too much of a risk for all the easy paydays Team Tyson had lined up for the future.

Radar acts like you have to be 60 years old like he is in order to have understood what was going on in the late 90's.

Prime Tyson cracks Lewis' chin. 1996 version likely could as well.

This sums up the thread and the post-prison Tyson career in a nutshell.

To show you how out of touch Tyson was with his prime, I actually picked Holyfield to win the first fight based on Tyson's comp after he got out of jail. I followed Tyson's career from day one and knew by the opponents he was fighting that it was a hype job.

    Nice post.

tyson would KO him. It took lewis 8 rounds to knock out a shot tyson, who could barely throw a punch. Tyson would overwhelm him and KO him early.

That's the same crap you posted in the classic section and it was garbage then and it's garbage here.

For starters Lewis hurt his hand during the fight which is way it took so long for him to dispatch Tyson.

Secondly, he thoroughly dominated him throughout the fight, and even in the first round which many felt Tyson won, he was hurt with those vicous upper cuts Lewis threw and said as much into between rounds.

Thirdly, they're roughly the same age, in fact Lewis is older, so both were past prime.

Fourthly, while I will admit who would win in their primes is debatable, the style Lewis fought was the perfect style to have beaten Tyson given their perspective skill sets. Lewis used his size extremely well in that fight, bullying Tyson, pushing him around and simply manhandling him, it's fair to say no other fighter had done that to him, even Holyfield didn't manhandle him.

I don't mind someone making a case for Tyson beating Lewis in their prospective primes, it's certainly possible, but the fight in which they actually fought is a very poor argument as to why Tyson would win in his prime. If anything, it demonstrated why he might not win.

Lewis wins. Tyson was so scared of Lewis that he gave him a whole $4 million not to fight him. Tyson never wanted any part of Lennox until Lennox finally said, "Now or never."

How does getting completely shut down and your ass beat in for 8 rounds somehow translate into "proof" of a quick KO victory under other circumstances?

Nice to know all Tyson has to do is last 8 rounds before getting flattened in order to "prove" himself. Most other fighters usually have to, you know, win the fight, or at least come even marginally close.
