True....Tyson did win the first round in my opinion but he also lost the war at the same time. You could see how much he hated those uppercuts in the final few seconds of that first round and the fight was effectively over from that point on, Tyson was scared to throw punched on the inside from that moment onwards and that was his only chance. Smart fight from Lewis's point of view. Does that mean he'd have beaten a 'prime' Tyson? No, but he'd have certainly beaten a 1996 Tyson handily.

Tyson would have had a chance to win it by landing a bomb, but I would favor Lewis.

Tyson was done by the time he got outta the pen......in 1996 lewis would have beaten tyson.....although 1991 version of tyson would have knocked lennox lewis out

    Fair enough.

How do you feel that Lewis beating Tyson in 1996 would have changed the heavyweight landscape throughout the second half of the 90's?

LOL @ at the usual Tommy Lemmie nut huggers. Maybe Lemmie has a stake in ESB......to enhance his legacy of the ONLY HWY champ in HISTORY to get iced not only once but twice by absolute ham and eggers.........by ONE shot. Hell ,even the similar chinned WK has not been able to duplicate this rare quality.

Now, who is the clown who dug out a article that in the mid nineties Lewis would be able to offer 45 mil for a Tyson fight? LMFAO, that guy could not draw flies until he finally got a little smell of the dough when he faced the shopworn Oldyfield and the shell of a shell Tyson impersonator.

Fact: outside of the UK only hardcore fans know Lemmie, he has very little name recognition or a public, good or bad, market appeal. LOL, a fat Tyson lounging in a stripclub makes more headlines then Lemmies " definitely commentating" on HBO........

Oh, so now that I exposed your weak math skills you try the spin tactic to save face??? I sure as hell hope you have a $100K per annum accountant working those "business" books, Widdow. :rofl :rofl :rofl

Come on man. What happened to that claimed "genius level IQ" that you used to rant about every day? :hi:

Your agenda REEKS. Try again. It's been a pleasure for all of us real fans of the sport with real period knowledge to provide you with some additional education on yet another topic. Let's do this via PM's next time, shall we? That way you can be ready with some real depth of information before you start a lame-assed, antagonistic thread and get yourself trampled again. :yep
