Speaking of doing "math". Would 1995/1996 really be considered the "late 90's"?? OK, I'll spot you one Widdow. It is somewhat subjective.

Check out the WALDO/Haye thread, apparently WALDO has lost his temper with the Hayemaker and the Klit-ites are all excited about it :rofl:rofl

    I saw it.

The fanboys have been waiting years for a domineering form of the man, if you catch my drift. :D

Listen to Steward's dumbass comments about what a tiger WALD has been in sparring. Haye fans couldn't hope for better - WALD having his first temper tantrum since waking up in that hospital bed after the Little Green Man drugged him during the Brewster loss. Maybe he'll throw his "somewhat" conservative style to the wind in blind rage and open an opportunity for a Hayemaker. :yep

The only education being handed out here, is that your old buddy Widdow showing everyone once again that you are a blind rabid Lewis fan. Rather than deal with the facts presented and responding to the topic.... you get furious about people knowing that Lewis turned down 13.5 million, so you immediately attack my character, age, and occupation in an attempt to somehow discredit the facts. You completely overlook the actual topic of the thread, because you immediately became bat**** crazy when you thought that Lewis' decline of the fight may put him in some sort of negative light. You also completely overlook the fact that I have stated more than once in the thread that I am sure Lewis wasn't scared of Tyson.

You have NO ability to reason, and you have no ability look at anything in a fair and balance manner. You aren't even speaking on the topic, rather ARGUING with me (actually yourself) as to WHY Lewis turned down the 13.5 million dollar guarantee. As soon as you seen that you really didn't have any ground to stand on, because that wasn't even the point of this thread, you start personally attacking me, and bragging about your career path.

Great job Radar. I am glad that some of the newer posters get to see and understand why the older members in the general forum and the lounge have ongoing jokes about you.:good

What was it Ali used to say about getting under his opponents skin before a fight? "it don't make em fight better it makes em fight harder" :yep

WALDO is being played like a Stradivarius by the Hayemaker, and for some reason the Klit-ites are enjoying it :D:nut

Lennox Lewis saw that 13.5M$ was not a big enough payday to play by Don King's terms for the rest of his career, and he saw that he could be more successful going another route. In hindsight looking at the way his career turned out he was probably right.

The smart move on his part was accepting the 4million$ to let Tyson duck him, and going on with his career beating the likes of Morrisson, Mercer, McCall, Briggs, Golota, etc. until he would eventually face Tyson again and set things straight.

If not then he would either 1) be under the grip of DK or 2) get a shitty purse as part of a purse bid or 3) scare Tyson into dropping his belt and therefore get no money at all.

Widdow: In fairness, if Radar is a blind Lewis fan, you're certainly a blind Klitschko fan. however the two of you back up your own arguments at least to your own satisfaction whereas most on here just write an inane comment and bugger off.

    On thread:
Personally speaking, I think an 80's Tyson ko's Lewis. In 1996, Tyson was not the same, he fooled a lot of people after he came out of juvie, holyfield and Botha showed that it wasn't 1987 anymore. I think Lewis takes it, late ko, more competitive than the actual fight, a few scares along the way but the result ultimately...similar. Tyson's mind strayed from boxing before he even won the title imo.

How would you then see Lewis vs Holyfield, Moorer, possibly Bowe, ect going in the 1996-1997 time period? Had Lewis beat Tyson, there was a great chance that those fights would have came together for him.
