I take Ike in this one, possible around mid rounds against Ruddock by stoppage, but still Ruddock had his tools too.

I would rather see Ike vs Tony Ayala, to see which is the greatest over hyped boxer who really never accomplished anything in real life....

i'll take ruddock here. ike is incredibly overrated by some. could have he been champ? sure, but i need to see more than wins over byrd and tua (i had that fight even) to believe that.

Ike's win over Byrd trumps any win of Ruddock. I thought Tua beat him though.

And who was Byrd? A natural middleweight fighting at heavy? Yeah he could embarrass you and was being avoided but he was never any real threat

Ruddock's wins over Dokes and Bonecrusher put him above Ike

No way. Those guys were done. Prime Dokes was better than Byrd, but that was post Holyfield Dokes.

He hadn't declined that much and was still better than Byrd IMO

The way Ruddock bludgeoned him with his fists was insane ... Dokes chin and durability was still very good borderline great yet he ended up unconscious on the canvas needing oxygen. No one wanted to fight Ruddock after that, neither Bowe or Holyfield.

Its a close fight either way IMO if this is before Tyson ruined Ruddock but I'll take Ruddock to win by decision in a brutal, war of attrition kind of fight.
