Ha!!! Cheers friend. It's anyone's fight for me and not one i'd go to the well debating. I just think it's a competitive fight personally.

Ali by late stoppage. But Lewis would give him much harder fight than Foreman did

    You people are nuts.
97 Lewis beats any version of Ali, let alone a 74 one, when Ali couldn't run as much.
Lewis wins a comfortable points decision of scores a KO.

This is interesting, and I mean that in a complimentary way.

I'm trying to see this more through your vision, how do you see a 15 round match between the two developing? How do you see the war of Jabs?

Do you think Lewis could take a 1974 Ali right hand (like the one that axed Foreman)?

    Asking because I'm honestly curious.

Exactly that version of Lewis couldn't even knock down once unheralded and very skinny Zeljko Mavrovic and washed up cruiserweight Holyfield in 36 rounds (combined). He ain't stopping Ali even in your wildest dreams

Given that Lewis has the superior reach, I see him staying behind his jab and throwing the right everytime Ali tries to come close. This happens for the first couple of rounds until Lewis gets in a rhythm and also gets to feel Ali. Lewis is not gonna waste much energy by moving too much in these first rounds, he won't chase Ali. This will frustrate Ali a bit since he was ussually used to being chased. Now he's gonna have to be the aggresor, which he ain't very good at. He will have to take more risks and he will get hit more often than he'd like. Given that Lewis hits way harder, Ali is gonna receive more punishment. Also, when Ali gets in, Lewis is simply gonna clich and put his wait on Ali, exhausting him.
During the middle rounds, as Lewis will realize he's completely dominating and that he'll always win a punch exhange with Ali, he's gonna start to put more and more pressure. In these mid rounds, he will probably knock down Ali a few times.
Then Ali's legs will start to give and he won't be able to dance much. It's pretty much game over from there. Lewis lands a big combo and Ali goes to dreamland. If by a miracle, Ali survives to the end, he's gonna be way down on points.

He'd take it without even flinching. Ali simply KO'd Foreman cause Foreman was exhausted.

Mavrovic had a great chin. And Lewis didn't take him that seriously.
As for Holyfield, he posed more stylistic problems than a 74 Ali would, due to his size and style. And Lewis dominated him anyway.
Plus none of these fights have any bearing on how an Ali vs Lewis fight would go down.
Lewis beats Ali every single time.

Mavrovic resume in the pros was atrocious, his chin wasn't tested in any fight except of Lewis fight. In the amateurs he was knocked out twice in the first round, including KO1 loss to average British LHW.

Ali's chin was tested against enormous amount of punchers.

Lewis couldn't beat average HW contenders like McCall and Rahman every single time, so this is WAY too unreasonable statement

I also may say that Wlad beats Lewis every single time cause he is quicker, punches harder than Lennox and posesses better jab. But it's just as unprovable statement as yours

Oh dear. This is basically the equivalent of stating Liverpool's very own Billy Aird "uniquely chose" to outpoint Richard Dunn.

As Joltin' Jimmy Young would also testify- another of the very few who decked George.

I went with Ali by decision as I think he's just a little bit quicker and a little more accurate and a little more elusive. Not by much. Just enough.

Trying not to be a dick. That and LL seems to be one of those guys that might be dumb about overconfidence, but pretty sure he would take Ali seriously.
