Because Lewis actually beat him in real life so it doesn't matter how a fantasy match would go.

Its like the Lewis fight never happened in Mendoza's mind and that any fantasy fight between the two of them should automatically feature Vitali as the favorite.. I don't get it.. I really don't.. I'm done trying..

Maybe next, we can ask Mendoza to show us how a prime Ray Mercer beats a prime Larry Holmes?

C'mon, you guys don't know? Vitali turned prime immediately after TKO 6. Hook, line and sinker.

I would like to ask another question. How do you guys think that a prime Wladimir Klitshko Lennox Lewis encounter turns out?

Either one has an excellent chance its who do you believe has the upper hand do you go with more skill faster and athletism in Wlad or the more adaptable Lewis? Who is Steward in the corner with? Many variables, if they both could fight to there best abilities I think Wlads faster harder punches win out and reach lewis's chin.overall hes the better fighter ,but is he tough enough?I see why not.I want o see how he does with fury.

I take LL over both Klits,,,,,

however, I am not a Klit hater, well I used to be until I came here and got so sick of the Klit hate on here I turned into a non klit basher.

Naturally Herol and others instantly labeled me a Kliturd for refusing to bash them :rasta

with that said Lennox is my number 1 ranked Heavy of All Time.

Sure I could be wrong but I have felt that way for well over a decade and have never wavered in that guess.

In my opinion, vits vs LL would of gone the same way with a 97 LL and a 03 Vits. Vits was good enough to FORCE LL to try his best to survive by fighting for his life. Whenever LL was in big trouble in his career he turned it way up. Obviously I am not including his two knockouts when I say that as you cant turn it way up when you are knocked out.

So I would always expect Vits to take it to LL and get into a war with him only to have LL come back and beat Vits in a great and potentially close fight as well as potentially a knock out as solid as Vits jaw is.

I think a lot of Vits, think he would be one of the most competitive match ups H2H of all time with LL. Loved it the first time even with the unfortunate ending that left some real and fair doubt about this match up if it had played out differently (no massive cut). I don't have Vitali in my top 10 heavyweights HOWEVER, I think Vits vs LL would always be one of the best match ups simply because they are two big dudes that both punch brilliantly.

To be fair, you did ask for opinions and that is his ... :think

Imagine, if you will, that Rahman never rematched Lewis and retired instead.

You'd get people insisting that Lewis could beat Rahman explaining the ways that Lewis was superior, and hordes of others saying "yeah, but KO5, Rahman would always catch him, Lewis never had a chin, bla bla"

That's kind of the position that the folks who think Vitali could beat Lewis are in today ;)
