    we all know who the top guy was untill he retired, im asking who is the best of this list of contenders/abc champs, by best i mean best resume and on ability.




    larry donald, chris byrd, michael grant, john ruiz, corrie sanders, ike ibeabuchi, david tua, andrew golota, oleg maskaev, hasim rahman, kirk johnson, shannon briggs, nikolay valuev, henry akinwande, sultan ibragimov, james toney, lamon brewster, shannon briggs.

    Chris Byrd and John Ruiz are the best. Both hung around the top rankings the longest, both faced and beat the most contenders, and had the more successful alphabet title runs.

    Brewster, Sanders,and Rahman have the strongest individual wins, but lots of setbacks and lengthy periods of irrelevance.

    Sultan, Grant, Johnson, Tua, and Ibeabuchi all had flashes of brillance but never lived up to their potential for various reasons and had little in the way of long term success.

    Golota, Briggs, Toney, and Oleg are the wild cards of the bunch. Dangerous against specific opponents but really didn't do a whole lot.
