Lewis would still have to respect this version of Foreman. I thought very old George beat Briggs.

UD Lewis or perhaps a late injury stoppage over ancient George circa 1998.

He doesn't need to trade, he'll outbox Foreman and set him up for power punches.

Holyfield and McCall are a lot faster than Foreman, so they have way more chances of landing.

    1998 Lewis v 1998 Foreman?
I really see this ending in a sad, painful way for George.
Lennox won't be rash imo, he knows that George is still dangerous even now, he'll keep throwing that Jab out and occasionally a beefy right.
George will find his shots aren't getting through, as he walks around after him, he'll be getting Lewis jab smacking into his face. By the sixth round, Foreman s face is battered and Lewis steps up the pace, throwing hard, solid shots that rock him back.
The refs taking a close look at the older man tells him one more round or stopping the fight.
Sixty second s into the next round and the ref has seen enough and waves it over.
George says he's never been hit so hard and that Lewis is the greatest of all time
    Lewis agrees..

I don't think this is quite as cut and dry for Lewis as others do. George isn't going to go the whole fight without landing flush once, and thus he has every bit of a puncher's chance.

I seriously doubt George would go down or get stopped, but 2 out of 3 says he gets unanimously decisioned...probably less close than even the Holyfield fight.

George absolutely beat Briggs, that was one of the robberies of the century, moreso than Holmes-Spinks II. I had George ahead by six points.

The Briggs fight is perhaps the greatest fight to point to in order to showcase just how fantastically effective George's left jab could be. His jab was practically perfect for most of the fight, at times nearing mighty Liston's.

Briggs wasn't terribly far away from Lewis in terms of punching power, and he landed on Foreman solidly about half a dozen times. So again, I can't see Lewis stopping George.

I don’t think George Foreman would beat Lennox Lewis in 1998 and it’s doubtful that he would have even taken that fight at that point. Foreman’s power had noticeably diminished at that stage as could be seen by the increasing number of men who were extending him the distance. Therefore, a lucky bomb would have been unlikely.

There was a time earlier when he’d at least have a puncher’s chance. Not that I’d ever favor him

Guy was dumber than a loaf of toast. He mostly just trolled his way in with his propaganda, it was entertaining at first but the fact that he didn't care enough to make his posts coherent made him very tiresome after awhile. Same ideas, badly written.

I think the most boring and least admirable/respectable members here tend to not accept valid schooling, hang tenaciously onto an agenda without bending whatsoever.

I remember when I got here I let Mike Tyson's **** conviction influence my appraisal of his fighting skills. I couldn't stand him as a person, so I just dismissed him as a boxer. That was very dumb of me, and I was called on it by some super knowledgeable members. I'm glad I listened...in fact, I'm glad I opened myself up to righteous schooling since I've been here, period, because I both learned a lot and enjoyed my time here and my boxing studies WAY more.
