1st fight coming up need advice please read

    im 20 years old 5'9 and 175 is that too high a weight class for me my style is a fast boxer and im in pretty good shape but being at 175 has me a little worried its not fat at all either any advice will be greatly appreciated

    175 is pretty high. Most fighters in that weight class are 5'11+ and typically more than 6'. It's likely however that you will be fighting someone who is not very good, so if you are better the height won't matter much.

    At 5'9 you can do it but would probably be better suited for a lower weight. Though I say if that is where you are comfortable now you are not alone look at Toney he is your height at heavyweight and Dwight Muhammad Qawi was only 5'6 at best btw good luck

    If your a quick boxer it's gonna help massively to have a reach advantage to go with your jab. If your fighting at 175 and your 5'9", you won't have this.

    believe it or not for a smaller guy i have a great reach when i spar the guys in my gym who are 6 ft i give up an inch in reach at most

    amature lol i plan to go pro in the next 2 years if i do decent in amatures

    well here is what are my pluses i think
    1really quick and hard to hit
    2 great chin i, dont spar with headgear (tyson himself said false feeling of protection and never have been ko'ed knocked down a few times but thats it and i spar with natural 180's

    I never officially fought. But my advice would be to do what you do best and use that quickness to get in and out and basically dictate the fight. Make him miss and make him pay.

    height shouldent matter if you bob and weave,plenty of movement,fast hands,**** look at tyson.
    im 5.8 and boxed at 11stone when fit,and 12stone when unfit,but still did fine ish!

    if i were you .... id take myself down to a gym and get a professional opinion

    id be willing to bet that not more than 10% of this forum
    have even trained to box or even stepped inside a ring to know what their even talking about
