I like Taylor, but it's tough to comeback from a devastating KO. KP UD.

My breakdown is like this: if Taylor is going to win he has to catch Pavlik early like before and finish it this time or else Pavlik's brutal offensive machine will kick in and he will beat the wits out of Taylor again. Pavlik is a much smarter fighter in that he seems to always have a game-plan and sticks with it, whereas Taylor seems to get rattled and not think as well in the heat of battle. I don't think Taylor has any chance of squeeking out a win like he did against fraudulent champ/chump Mary Hopkins as he runs out of gas in the second half so I'd be surprised to see him winning many rounds late. Besides, it's VERY unlikely this one will last into the late rounds anyway.

That's a great article, but Pavlik won't be throwing tennis balls. He'll be throwing the same brutal combinations that took JT out of his game plan, and backed him into the ropes repeatedly. The article makes it sound like Taylor honestly believes he can recreate round 2 of the first fight. He can't, because you can bet your bottom dollar that Pavlik will not showboat or clown Taylor a second time. We won't see Kelly sticking out his tonugue, or dropping his hands and sticking his chin out. Mark my words, we will see a super focused Kelly Pavlik with improved defense, and even more punching power.

The added weight will benefit Kelly far more than it does Jermain. JT has only very rarely fought guys who were above the 160 pound limit. Kelly has fought above 160 twelve times, even going as high as LHW. All but one of those fights ended in brutal knock outs. Most in under 3 rounds.

If JT comes in trying to score an early KO, he'll get pavlikated in 5 rounds.:deal

If JT puts a lot of pressure he could actually win this one if he doesn't, well he is pretty much in trouble.

The problem is that Taylor seems to be resting all his hopes on the fight being at 166 pounds, as if the extra pounds will help his stamina, his concentration, his tendency to go back in straight lines. It's more in hope than expectation.

If Taylor wins this it will be the shock of the decade so far in my book.

The inside scoop is Kelly is looking extremly powerful at this weight. We might have another Hagler v Hearns on our hands.

I expect Taylor to slow down the action and go more to the body in spite of loading up with that arched right hand above Kelly's left shoulder. I believe that Jermain will feel stronger and confident enough at 168 to box more as he takes steps aside. On the other hand, Pavlik takes steps in and works the stiff jab but will have a harder time to follow up with the right on the non-stationary target - still it's the consistent, accurate jab and the aggressiveness that will win more rounds for him as both will not take much risks in the second part of the fight... Pavlik 7 rounds to 5 on two judges cards, one of them will give alternate rounds to either.

At MW, even with the weight problems PAVLIK was a monster (he's the bigger of the two, he was the heavier on fight night).

At 166, without hard dehydration, Pavlik will be the EVIL himself. Darth Vader. Keyser Söze. Anton Chigurh.

Let's say TKO9 this time as JT won't punch himself out. Still gonna loose but this time it will be a brutal one punch KO.
