    The only one that would come close is Benny Brostoff, who beat Charley Sohn in 1925, BUT he was not a World contender. Benny was born in Russia BUT lived in Bronx, New York.

    Anton Raadik was a contender. He was rated in the top 10 in the Middleweight Division from January 1948 to January 1949, for a total of 10 months. His highest rating was #4. He also beat some pretty good boxers, such as Georgie Abrams and Anton Christoforidis.

    I guess I threw a curve in here with Raadik, but he meets the criteria of the question, I think.
